THE VIRI RACE The Viri race is commonly associated with elvish kind and creatures of the like due to their pointed ears. No one is quite sure where they came from, however, they were one of the few "mortal beings" to appear in Pandora, and are believed to be one of the first races of Pandora. The Viri race is split into 3 distinct groups; Aldviri, Feyviri and Dinviri. The Aldviri are known for their golden skin and light colored hair. These Viri are often smarter than their kin, but are physically weaker than their counterparts. The Feyviri are known for their druid type of life, honoring nature and the world of Pandora itself. The Feyviri are shorter than the others, however have some affinity with nature. The Dinviri are the darkest of the Viri, and are known to be the strongest of all of the Viri, however, they rely on their kin for aid. HISTORY & LORE The race of Viri are all descendants of a single race known as the Akviri. This race was known to have great affinity with spiritual connections, as well as powers to see into the afterlife. All Viri believe that their ancestors reached out for aid, and that was how they ended up in Pandora. However, each race sees their position in Pandora in dramatically different ways. The Aldviri believe themselves to be natural leaders. Without any of the Akviri race alive to tell the true story, they have taken it upon themselves to lead their kin into a new era. They believe that Pandora is not a world to be taken lightly, and they feel strongly about trying to get out of it. Half of the Aldviri believe they need to explore Pandora to find a way home, while the others believe it best to make the most out of things. They are often the ones in leadership positions, however Feyviri and Dinviri have been known to be great leaders as well. The Feykiri have long accepted their new home. They find no reason to go back to their own homeland, and have long abandoned the old gods and old ways of their people. They often praise the unique Pandora plantlife as deities. They are known to be the best scouts, thieves, merchants, and even crafters. Some were known to contact Kaseki directly, aiding in the construction of Urban City long ago. The Feyviri now are anxious to explore the new world, despite the views and ideals of their kin. The Dinkiri were known for being brutal fighters, and often bearing warpaint or excessive amounts of tattoos. However, not all were born into warrior culture, and instead took to the life style of the Aldviri. While they may not be the best at planning combat, they are the best at leading it. Some Dinkiri believe they could do without their kin. This thought is part of old ideals that led to infighting a thousand years ago between the Alviri and Dinviri. The Feyviri were found among the ranks of both sides |
