Money and Noodles

After traveling for the past few days Lee and Darkurr finally made it to the Urban City. "That was quiet the journey." All Darkurr kept talking about the whole trip was how he was going to run his new noodle shop. Lee kept holding off on asking if Darkurr would like to join him in a business that Lee was planning on starting up but could barely get two words into the big guy. The guy was a great fighter but he was hard to talk to. First they'll turn in the kid for the reward money and then he'll ask him if he would be interested. Lee still had a bit of planning left to do. First he needed to set up a base of operations, second he needed to get a team together, third was to set up a price for there services and finally open shop.

... and then he said 'Oh, but I never used a fork before!'" Darkurr laughed, almost ignoring Lee. He stopped and slapped the rear of the white tiger with Nameless attached to his his back. "ONWARD COMET AND VIXEN!" he yelled, causing the white tigers to run deep into the city. He had the day planned, as the walk took much longer than expected. "Lee," he turned to the man, "You wouldn't happen to know how to cook.. or mix drinks... or pain walls... or run a business would you?" he asked. He shifted direction to go to the east side of the inner city. He knew where the building was that he wanted to buy. He was going to look at it... one last time. "Maybe we can start this lil' shop together brah~"

"... And then he said 'Oh, but I never used a fork before!"
"ONWARD COMET AND VIXEN!"
Darkurr still kept on talking about his plans for a noodle shop. Lee himself wasn't sure on how much longer he could stand talking to this guy. It wasn't that he was annoying Lee, Lee was trying to fight back his laughter. He was defiantly a unique guy, but hard to talk too and to take seriously.
"Lee. You wouldn't happen to know how to cook.. or mix drinks... or pain walls... or run a business would you?" Lee didn't know how to do any of those things but running a business was one thing he knew well. "Uh. I know how to run a business. I'm currently trying to get one of mine started just need to find a building for a base of operations."
"Maybe we can start this lil' shop together brah~" Lee never stopped to consider something so simple. Lee was always more greedy for the finer things in life. "Its all yours man, the things I desire are... Bigger."

"So... With money right? Because I can buy small things for money. Then those small things I can turn into bigger things... made of small things.. So one thing... of many things." Darkurr trailed off in his own thought, almost as if his mind never held a thought, just actions. "Or a late night noodle bar... with singing. Business is booming at night in this city. Perhaps with the money of the corrupt, we can buy things from the noble to create a balance in our society." Darkurr chuckled. "I like you Lee. Let's go see what buildings are available. The Sky Balcony might be reopened again." Darkurr thought about the reward and the cost of the building. And just as if on cue... the tigers came back. One held a small brown bag in it's mouth, while the other held a scroll. Darkurr snatched the scroll from Vixen's mouth and read it aloud;

"We are pleased to announce you have brought us the right man." Darkurr said, making an impression of a boastful rich fat man, "However you failed to bring him back alive. For doing so, your reward has been cut in half." Darkurr's jaw dropped. He was supposed to bring him back alive?? He quickly grabbed the sack of coins and counted the value. They were the large pieces, with bits of jade in the center. "A million." He said, "Well, a deal is a deal." He took his share of the reward and tossed the sack to Lee. It was over 500,000 of coins.

Darkurr thought about it for a moment. It wasn't the reward he hoped to get, but he had enough to get a small place all his own... but with Lee helping out in the cost... maybe they could make a bigger business.

Lee just stood there letting Darkurr ramble on, mostly cause he was wondering how long he could actually ramble on for future events. Just as it seemed like he would never stop his two tigers showed up with a bag of coins and a letter. Darkurr read the leader but when he was done his face pretty much said it all. "You were suppose to bring him in alive weren't you?" Darkurr went on to count the coins in the bag. "A million. Well, a deals is a deal." He said tossing Lee his cut of the reward. Lee double counted his cut of the reward to find out it was at the amount that they agreed to. Lee got what he came for now the question was what to do first. "Hey Darkurr can I talk to you a sec. This business I'm going to start, I could use some strong teammates for this business and I was wondering sense you've proven to be rather strong." Stronger than himself is what he should have said but he didn't want to admit it. "First and foremost its a bar so I could use someone around to kick out people who are causing trouble and secondly its going to be a mercenary team for those who need help. So what I would like to ask is..." Lee delayed asking this but he needed the help. "Would you like a job?"

"Ohohoho!" Darkurr laughed, "Why I see you're taking another gamble." He wanted to say yes, yet something told him otherwise. But as always, he had a plan for his plan for his planned plan. "Now I will join your team and go on many adventures with you... HOWEVER, only if you assist me in buying this piece of land. With it, we can make some kind of... night noodle house. You get your bar, I get my noodles, and we both get money." Darkurr laughed at the thought. It wasn't something Legion of Neutrals would ever get involved in, but he figured the best way to keep criminals off the streets, was to keep them inside somewhere he could watch them. He could then, over time, watch the corruption dwindle away into nothing, thus giving Legion of Neutrals more power to clean up the infested city. "I'll join your team, if you join my business. Together we can make your profits to get stuff. And I like things... and stuff."

But that led to the next problem... how much would that place cost?

"Now I will join your team and go on many adventures with you... HOWEVER, only if you assist me in buying this piece of land. With it, we can make some kind of... Night noodle house. You get your bar, I get my noodles, and we both get money."

"I'll join your team, if you join my business. Together we can make your profits to get stuff. And I like things... And stuff."

Lee didn't know what to make of this deal. He had lots of plans for his bar and didn't want to go into business with someone else cause then he wouldn't be calling all the shots it would also depend on his business partner. "Sorry pal, I think I'm going to have to decline that offer. If you ever change your mind I'll leave a spot open for you if you want to do some part time work if you wish."

"Shame," Darkurr said with a sigh, "Could have been fun, running a restaurant with a bar. I mean it's just a same building... and with that mix you can do anything... ANYTHING." Darkurr folded his arms to rest them on the back of his head. His fingers interlocked as he drifted away. He would probably store the money somewhere until he could buy something bigger. "Well, if you change your mind, I'll be over at some bussiness trying to buy something... I mean land. Land right? It's land... Or if I bought a plant... I would have a flying shop..." Darkurr's words drifted on as he walked away. He was gonna get something... But what?

And so... he vanished into the crowd.
