Mei would slip her way through the crowd of people. She was small enough to not be seen and she didn't have to push anyone. The child had listened to the people talking about the tournament. She mostly heard about prizes and thought that it would be fun. All she wanted was to win prizes and have fun. Mei hadn't known where her bug brother Naisu ran off to but she was sure she'd see him sometime soon. She knew that he of all people wouldn't leave her forever.
As Mei made it to the table she would stand on her toes and set Captain Hoppy on top. "Hi. I'm Mei and this is Captain Hoppy. We want to join," Mei would say in her most serious but happy tone. For a moment, the woman behind the table simply stared at her. "Are you sure? It might be a little much for you," the woman would reply a little unamused. "Mhm. I'm sure. I can do it. I'm strong. I was raised by a dragon you know? And.. I'm not alone.. I have Captain Hoppy. Can't forget him," Mei would reply rather confidently. "Alright. You've both been signed up," the woman would say.
Mei would plop back down on flat feet and take Captain Hoppy away. She didn't exactly know what she'd do now but she wanted to see the party! It was big and it looked like lots of fun!
