Where am I going? (Yoshi)

Her little legs had carried her far and wide with the intent of running away from it all. Her voice hadn't been heard since the many losses of those dearest to her heart, her personality had been very distant but also very rebellious, and her eyes hadn't held the sweet, kind look from before but a very depressed, dark look. Her mind attempted to keep empty of the multitude of devastating thoughts that it had held, however it always seemed to fail. So, Mei would run until she had reached a place of new, which she had shared no memories with anyone. Alas, she couldn't help but want to hold her dear bunny close as they explored and tell Yoshi of all her brave tales. A beautiful place of ruins and majesty only held a solemn sound of rushing water. The beauty had been overlooked as the young girl only saw the ruins and destruction leaving her heart still in pain.

Mei hadn't the strength or energy to walk any further as the sky began to grow darker. With every passing moment, the sky grew darker and a roar began. It started off very quit and would grow over a painstakingly long time. The young brunette would find herself crouched holding her small, sensitive ears as the rain washed away her tears, while she cowered with fear. The thundering sky, crying clouds, and rushing water all seemed to drown out the existing sound the child could have been making. She was terrified, alone, and heartbroken. What was she going to do? Where would her life go? Would her life even continue?

Thunder cracked as her hands pushed tighter against her ears. Her body trembled and her tears began to mix with the raindroplets that raced down her cheeks. Through muffled sounds she could hear yelling but she couldn't smell a scent on account of the rain. However, Mei hadn't exactly,taken that thought into account and the voice was so familiar that she figured it to be a hallucination of sorts. She shook her head "no" violently wanting the voice to stop. It couldn't be real and it couldn't be him. He had died right next to her and she wasn't ready to hear that voice. She wasn't able to handle whatever her brain was attempting to do to her. Mei simply sat in a ball with a twisted face that seemed to hold the most painful look of agony while her ears were cuffed to muffled the terrifying sounds of the outside world.

The world around her was in complete chaos for the moments being. Mei tried to hide from the outside, the inside, the rain, the sounds, the voices, and the rest of everything. She didn't want to be here anymore. She didn't want to be here, or there, or anywhere. She wanted to be gone, maybe forever. However in the midst of all this chaos, the rain ceased to touch her even when the sound still remained. Brown eyes would pop open seeing the movement of a being within the water and hearing the sound of a,desperate voice calling out. This was wrong. It wasn't true.
Brown eyes would look slowly upward toward the figure. It was.. it was a boy.. it was a small boy... it was Yoshi. Was he real? Did he really belong here? Was this just her mind? The small girl would cry harder seeing him before her like he was. Feelings of relief, sadness, confusion, terror, and, joy filled her tiny heart. Before she knew it, Mei would wobble to her feet moving toward Yoshi in a stumble sort of run. Her feet would attempt to slip out from under her as she tried to get to him quickly. She would trip just close enough to fall into him, if he would catch her. Her breath would be fast paced as if she were disoriented and terrified. Her eyes looked at the boy with amazement and a sort of abandoned look. "It's you... You're here... You're here... Yoshi," her voice would be barely audible as Mei spoke.

Although the water ceased to touch the two, their embrace would be cold and wet from Mei's soaked being. Tears would caress the small girl's cheeks just being able to hold the young boy in her arms again. His once lifeless body that had played next to her drenched in blood had been walking around finding his own adventure while she lost almost everything she had. Even still, He seemed so excited and had so many things to tell her. Mei would listen to his voice and notice the drops welling up in Yoshi's eyes.

The young brunette would smile at her risen Prince as he spoke about his adventure. She was so happy that he had met his father and his older sister. She was so happy that he had such an "a-Mei-sing" time, which did form a smile upon her features. "I- I'm so happy for you..." the small girl would force a smile only to feel her heart break. A feeling of frustration would well up inside her the more he talked about his happiness. Did he know about her life? Had he even cared about what was happening to her? She was alone in the rain.. why didn't he think about that? Why... why did he let her worry?

The question he finally asked her would make her heart sink into nothingness. Large brown eyes would look down as she shoved her face into him while her eyes began to release more tears and her body began to shake. "Yoshi..
I.. I.. I thought.. I thought out were dead!" She held his living being tighter than before. "I thought I lost you! I though you would never come back. I thought.. I lost... my love.Yoshi... I lost you... I lost Captain Hoppy. I lost my momma. I didn't have anything. I ot beat up and left to die. All I wanted was.. you." The young girl would sink down through the tears and pain not being able to stand any more. Her soaked body was still so cold but her face was so warm with embarrassment. She didn't want to be young and vulnerable anymore. She wanted to grown up so she could be more independent.

The small child would cease crying oh so swiftly when she heard the small boy laughing. What was he laughing at? What did he find so funny about her misfortune? What made him feel the need to be happy? Her mind would go completely blank wondering if he even cared in the first place. Then, he would speak words that would make her look up at him again. He sounded like a crazy person. They could be however old they wanted? They were immortal? What kind of world was this? Was this just some crazy talk he believed in? Was this just his imagination? Mei wasnt sure what he meant.

However, Yoshi would begin to say things that would bring a smile to her own face. He would help her find her best friend and he would help her find a place to call home. They would be together. They would always be together. Big, brown eyes would latch onto those passionate ones of Yoshi's as she listened to his last few words. A large smile would spread across her features, "Yoshi, I want to be with you forever. I want to be your princess forever and.. I want you to be my Prince always." Sparkling eyes would begin to water with joy as she continued to stare into his own.

Bug, brown eyes would sparkle at the ideas of being able to find anyone she had lost, except she felt that something had been off. Something had plagued the girl's mind and made her worry about whether Yoshi had been right or not. If her mother was here, surely she would have heard the tales of a large, snow white dragon with blue frosty breath. Surely, if Captain Hoppy were alone she would hear of hus adventures to find her. Surely, she would have heard or seen something. "I don't think we'll find Momma, Yoshi.
Unless you've seen a giant, white dragon somewhere too."

Soon enough, Yoshi was back to talking about his adventures and father, however Mei didn't mind. It was quite amusing to listen to his excitement. When he spoke of the sword, Mei would wave at it and look very close to try and see a small man, "I hate to tell ya,
Yoshi, but I think it's broken. I don't see your dad." Her small hand would reach up to scratch her head in confusion and thought. What could have been wrong? Maybe, he got lost on his way to the sword. Maybe, he was a tiny man and fell off. The possibilities were endless.

Ka- Kas... Mei couldn't remember more than just that, so she would be very confused when he wanted her to go. "Meet who? Ka...s... Who is that? Is he famous? Does he know where my Momma is?"

"You lived on a turtle?!" Her large, brown eyes would sparkle with amazement as if he hadn't told her this before. Her mind would race with the many things she could do on a giant turtle or with a giant turtle. She wondered what a giant turtle ate. It had to be lots and lots of leaves right? Or maybe giant leaves! Or maybe giant tomatoes! Maybe he just ate a bunch of little tomatoes? Mei would let out a tiny shriek before staring Yoshi straight in the eyes as if her whole life had just come to a most crucial point, "Does he eat stars?!" At this point, it wouldnt be surprising if the boy was completely clueless as to why the young girl came to this solution, however she had no idea that it was weird in any way, shape, or form. With a tiny whisper she would stare straight through the boy in some dramatic form, "I wish I could eat stars."

Soon enough, Yoshi had shifted her attention again with his weird talk of a soul in a sword, but Mei just couldn't see it. Maybe if she were older, she would understand what he was saying. She just didn't get how he could feel his dad when he was holding a sword with no tiny man in it or on it or all around it. The girl would scratch her head in frustration before sighing. Oh how she wished to be big.

The girl would stare at the ground as Yoshi began to speak about this Kas person that Mei had never even heard of before within her lifetime. The child would then look up again with sparkling eyes at the word "castle". "OH MY GOSH! Is he a prince?! Wait wait wait... if he's married he might be a KING! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THAT YOSHI! I need a pretty dress and pretty shoes and I need pretty, not wet hair and I'm just not fancy enough. The girl would break away and begin to pace while she thought of the events that were to take place. She was going to a real castle. The girl would freeze and then spin around as if dancing, I'm going to a real castle! I real castle with a pretty view and lots of rooms and probably a garden and a place for balls and fancy lights and little tea cups!"

"He's the kindest king in all of Pandora." The boy spoke with a tear forming in his eye. It would not fall, but slowly disappear into the air. He knew that Kaseki was himself, and that it was only a life he never lived. Perhaps he too, could lead a world like his older brother. "You don't need to." he would tell her. "You don't need a dress to be pretty, Mei. Besides, even if you wanted a dress, Kaseki could make one." he laughed, "He secretly likes to sew."

Mei would smilw brightly at the thought of this super nice king. She thought of children surrounding him, candy being given to them, flower fields, walks in beautifully lit areas at night, smilea, and giving beyond belief. She would necome lost in the many things this king might do, and she was so excited to meet him. Maybe they could be best friends. Maybe he would let her come to his castle any time. Maybe he would let her have a tiara! Mei would smile as she thought about it, then she would look at Yoshi. He has said he would be a king. She was certain that Yoshi would be just as great, if not greater. They would make this world better.

As Yoshi complemented Mei, she would smile and blush so brightly that she looked like a tomato. She loved being with Yoshi. He was her best friend, her world, and someone she couldn't imagine living without... ever again. "Hm. I'd like that, but I'll wear anything, as long as you think Im pretty," Mei would blush again as she took his hand in hers.
