She Couldn't Stay Away.. (Dae)

Her brother had gone on another trip of his, even though he had told her he wouldn't be going very far. She didn't mind the fact that he left because she knew he was looking for something important or doing something important, she just wasn't 100% sure what. So, while he was away she took this time to explore herself and the world around her, she just hoped he wouldn't return and be angry. Besides, she hadn't gone too far, just on the outskirts of De Fiore, which is more than her brother would be ok with.

She wasn't quite sure where she was, since she never actually left her home. However, this place was amazing, beautiful, and full of life. The trees seemed to be living with the way they moved, and rustled, and even just sat still in the ground. She could see the beautiful sights of brughtly colored, flying animals, small things with lots of legs, and slightly larger things with weird features. It was all graceful and perfect, but she had been walking for some time. Her breathing had gotten a bit heavy, so she would take the time to sit beneath a tree with some weird blooms she had never seen before. It didn't bother her. Their sparkling was magnificent, but she had grown tired and would slowly fall asleep.

This place was foreign.

His sister had left him, shouting something about ensuring that she would get something... Or at least, that was what he thought. It had only been a few hours later that he had actually decided to search for her, but now, he wasn't sure as to if that was a good idea. But now, things seemed to turn for the worst. Daemian was absolutely lost, and had no idea where Vyllaea had gone, as well as if she was still alive. With a sigh, he continued his walk along the rugged path, the tips of his wings dragging across the path and leaving two symmetrical lines as he walked, following in his footsteps.

With a small and internal grumble, he wandered across, internally wishing to slap Vyllaea for running off on him. However, he had to admit, the area around him was a sharp contrast to him. The sun beamed down against him, wildflowers grew over the thickened grasses around the path. Forests pushed forward, closer and closer to him as he drew further towards the edges of the trees. However, something seemed rather odd. At the base of one of them, something like clothing was curled at its base.

Curiosity overthrowing any form of, well, concern, Daemian wandered off the path and slowly moved towards the figure. His head tilted to the side slightly as his hand raised to pull his red scarf over his nose a little more to hide those ugly scars. "Hey, are you alright?" Daemian asked gently, stopping shy a few meters away from the figure as he dropped down towards the ground in the form of a crouch, watching her through his single grey eye.

She had been asleep for but a mere hour when the dreams began to slowly and continuously flood her mind. It started in the very forest she fell asleep in, except this time it was exceptionally dark and things were a bit cold to the sight. Turquoise orbs would look around the area noticing how empty it was. The trees were barren, the animals had gone into hiding, and the sky had turned a ghastly grey. What was happening here? Hana would slowly stand not knowing why this was happening or what she should do. Then she would hear a rustling behind her, a low growl, and her heart would pound. She would find herself slowly moving backwards and every time she moved the beast would move closer towards her. What was it? Why did it look so large and dark? In one swift motion it swallowed her up without even a chance to run or scream. Now, everything was dark.

Everything was dark and she seemed to be floating, it was sort of peaceful but it was sort of lonely. There was nothing around. There was nobody there. Soon, she started sinking and a hand would grab her arm. The blackness began to consume her and she watched as her brother struggled to keep her above, he struggled to keep her healthy, and he struggled to just keep her in his grasp at all. They were still relatively young, so the struggle of having to keep up with her was no doubt the darkest, sinking feeling. However, something more sinister began to happen, she began to rise, but he began to sink. The more she rose, the more color surfaced in this horrid dream world, and the more it looked like their home. The floor was forming inward on the two leaving the area around them black up until the point that her brother’s head began to be swallowed by the floor and his hand slipped from her arm. She would grab at home each time her hand going straight through him. What was happening?! Why couldn't she touch him?! He would slip through the darkness and the floor would close around him. All the while Hana would scratch at the floor begging and pleading, however not being able to scream. Her lungs felt heavy, hard, and hurt. Tears streamed from her eyes. Her brother had been sucked into the darkness and it was all her fault. He always had to save her and look after her, even if it was bad for himself. This is what her life would consist of without him, sobbing on the floor of their small home. It was so quiet. It was so lonely. She couldn't breathe. Was he gone forever?

Upon her inability to breathe, a voice could be heard somewhere nearby, “Are you Alright?” Hana would look up only to see bright light shining all around her, then her eyes would open. Panic would ensue as she grasped at her chest and gasped for air. Widened turquoise eyes would roam the area looking for Kai, but he wasn't around. She was still in the forest and that's when she'd notice a man before her. A small squeal would escape her mouth before she would be able to speak no more and her small frame would shrink beside the tree’s trunk. Her chest hurt and that's when her conscious mind kicked in reminding her to breathe. She counted in her head, as she attempted to steady her breathing. It would take a few moments, but soon she would be able to speak, although only softly. “I-I'm sorry. I-I can't breathe well.. sometimes. I guess I got too tired… and fell asleep,” Hana would smile as she continued her breathing exercise, “I should be ok now.” Her small frame would relax as her slightly reddened face began to settle back to original color. With a moment of though, Hana would jump slightly, “Oh! My name is Hana. Thank You for checking on me.” She would continue smiling as she looked at this mysterious man not even thinking a single bad thought about him.

The way that she cast her gaze too and fro made the older man smile just a little. Maybe crouching down on the soft grasses near her was a bad idea. He was about to say something, mouth partially opened behind his scarf before she squealed a little. Daemian pulled back slightly, blinking in surprise as he looked to her with his single grey eye. However, the exact opposite of him trying to help her occurred as she pulled away from him, shrinking against the tree. His knees fell forward, gently pressing against the ground as a hand subconsciously moved towards her, as if to clasp her hand and try to reassure her that everything was alright. Although he froze, catching himself with the movement. Something like that could scare her and, as such, it fell to the ground, his head tilting to the side as a small, worried frown creased on his forehead.

The soft tone of her voice, the quiet volume was something that he had to strain a little to even be able to hear properly. But doing that caused the black winged man to worry just that little bit more. If she had trouble breathing, should someone like that even be out here? With a small nod, but his knees still firmly planted against the ground, he moved backwards to sit a little straighter. His wings slightly spread out, trying to ease the cramped feeling which they were feeling. "Should someone who struggles to breathe be out here by themselves?" Daemian asked gently, his tone not judging, but his voice sounded rough, harsh, almost cruel in a way. It even had an odd feeling of being thrown through a blender, before being vomited back out in the form of a sentence. He blinked a little, before raising a hand to rub the back of his head, casting his gaze away as he did so. "I mean, it could end up with you being rather breathless, or probably more accurately, taking other peoples breath away."

Wait.

He froze.

Did he just accidentally hit on that girl?

"I-I'm sorry, that came out wrong. My name's Daemian, and, well, I was just worried you see... You were just laying against the tree, and I wasn't able to tell if you were alright or not. You looked.. Rather pale too, and, honestly, you looked rather ill or sick. B-But I'm glad you're alright- b-but would you like me to stay with you, until you're back home? T-the last thing you'd want is to hurt yourself and, well... You know..." He desperately tried to recover, failed miserably, and trailed off. Through a mixed cloud of emotion, Daemian partially conceded as he closed his eye. His cheeks were a little flushed from embarrassment, and his wings curled around his form a little, almost as if he were trying to hide himself from his own existence and demons for a few moments.

However, his demons in this case were simply his own rather... Horrid choice of words.

He seemed to keep his distance kneeling far away from her enough for her to realize that he obviously meant no harm to her. He seemed to be respectful of her space and she was even rather gentle with her, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing guven her condition. After she spoke, he seemed to nod mulling over her words and actions. However, he started to question her actions of adventure and why she would be out here alone, except he seemed much harsher with this tone. Had she done something wrong? Was he trying to subdue her to the boringness of her home too? He didn't know her, so clearly he didn't know her story. Then, why was he trying to tell her what to do? It wasn't that it made her angry or anything. She was just relatively curious.

His next phrase made her confused, considering she didn't understand how she could possibly take someone's breath away. She wasn't strong by any means, she wasn't a fighter, and she was more of a pacifist anyway. So, what made him thing she'd be harming anyone's breathing? Weird. However, he would retaliate with an odd behavior saying his words were wrong, that she had looked pale, and that he was worried for her being ill. This would make Hana smile a bit, even though it was sort of a sadder moment for her. However, this one seemed to need reassurance more than she needed to prove herself.

"Hey, it's ok. You were just worried is all. You don't have to be afraid to speak your mind. I'm very open about other people's opinions," her soft voice would spesk before her smile seemed to fade a bit. "Well, I'm just.. trying to prove ti my brother that he doesn't have to worry about me. Ya know, I want to be able to handle myself, but he is always right there. It's not a terrible thing because I like his comoany. But. I know he's looking for someone.. a special girl. I don't know anything about her, but I know he is kind of desperate to find her. I want to help him, but I can't. So, i want to show him that he can look without having to worry, except.. I can't even go on a little hike by myself without something happening. I don't want to drag him down," she would turn her head down towards the ground as she twisted her clothing between two of her fingers. She wouldn't cry, but she wanted to. "But, uhm, if you wanted to stsy with me, I wouldn't mind the company. I've never actually met anyone before, so i don't have friends. I spend most of my time at home."
