Personality: Hershel is a egocentric narcissist who wants to be the most famous person in all of Pandora. He has little care for others, and what little care he does show, is just to make himself look good. To him, being famous means everything, and he doesn't care what he has to do it to get it. If that means doing a little bootlicking every now and then, then so be it. It'll all be worth it on the day he reaches the top.
While the above may come off as a bit of grump (for he is), he's still a toon. He enjoys goofing off, and nothing says he can't have fun during his climb to fame. Especially when that fun comes at the expense of others. Just don't try to enjoy something at his expense. It's a quick way to get on his bad side and find themselves being pranked a lot more often then he usually will (or one last time if he happens to be in very bad mood at the time.)
Hershel also may appear to have a screw loose. He can be seen talking to no one in particular about things that doesn't really make sense. He even at times gesture to whoever it is he believes he is talking to. The thing is, he isn't actually crazy (Well okay. The jurys still out on that.) He just is fully aware of the forth wall and will talk to it whenever he wants to. He finds no need to share this fact with anyone though. It's just the way life is for him. It's not his fault if they don't understand the true nature of their lives.
Overall, he's a slightly insane narcissist who seeks to become famous and take over the world and have fun doing it.
