Serpent Rebirth

Naisu had joined the strange organization of Snake after the run-in with Kabuto in the strange cave that faithful day. He had learned several strange things during his time in Snake, and he had learned strange things before his time in Snake. He had a curious mind that was hungry for knowledge. He liked to learn the mysteries and secrets of the world, and that was what fueled his endless journeying around Pandora. Naisu knew the organization wasn't considered a light organization but he didn't care. It served a higher purpose. In Naisu's eyes the organization transcended good and evil. It was neither or. They did not seek to oppress people or to kill people. They didn't wish to exact control over the entire world. It was simply the collection of the powers that made up this world, which he didn't have an issue with at all. He encouraged it actually.

While he was busy contemplating his chosen path: he was also admiring the structure of the hideout for its location and purpose. It was quite honestly: the perfect place for such an Organization. Kabuto was quite clever in his decisions regarding the hideout, as it was big but in the shadows. It was hard to locate and so as far as their potential enemies were concerned: the hideout made them pretty secure and safe. Kabuto was clever about a great many things; if he wasn't then Naisu would have never gotten caught up with these guys. He waited for Kabuto to meet him. He wanted to speak with the man.

The echoing voice of Kabuto rang through Naisu's ears, with words that proved to be amusing. "On the front lines? Like for a war, or just in general? What's going on, Kabuto?" he asked inquisitively. His eyebrows were arched, and his stare intense; the usual signs of Naisu when he was curious about something. It was his trademark expression for curiosity at this point. Naisu wouldn't mind protecting Snake. He was certain he could do a good job of it too. But he wanted to know what Kabuto meant, and what was going on. It seemed only fair, after all. He needed to be informed of the events that were to transpire so he could prepare himself for it.

"So. You want me to be the face of Snake," he surmised quite easily. Being the face of Snake didn't necessarily mean a boost in power. Kabuto was really asking him to be more of a figurehead than an actual leader. Naisu wasn't fond of the idea of playing pretend, but if it was for the better of Kabuto and for the better of their goals: then did he really have a choice? "I don't like it. But I'm up for it," he replied after considerable time thinking it over (at least for him...most people would think he hadn't even thought about it at all). Naisu noticed the papers in his hand, and realized this meeting was about more than just the transfer. He wanted to let him know about all the upcoming changes and/or plans to Snake. Naisu sighed. He spoke with a weary tone, despite not having done anything yet, "Let's get to it, I suppose," he said in reference to the paperwork or whatever else it was that Kabuto wanted him to do.

Wait, what? Naisu was wrong apparently about Kabuto's intentions. He wanted Naisu to actually lead the damn thing? Well, it'd been quite some time.. since he led anything. Naisu knew himself to be capable enough for the job, but did he want too? He supposed it would give him creative freedom as to how to operate on achieving their goals. He had a few ideas. "Alright. I still agree," he said about leading. "Now what are those papers in your hand?" he asked. He was wondering if it was something he wanted to show Naisu, or just something he happened to be carrying. Naisu would have to make preparations for this place, and had a good idea about what to do for improvement.

Naisu shrugged at the Snake's reply about the papers. He was sure he would find out soon enough. Naisu had a mostly calm demeanor that prevented him from getting upset, even when people were rude. If people threatened him then he responded in kind the way he felt most appropriate. It took a lot to get a rise out of the traveler and he chose for this to not be one of those moments. "Sounds fair enough to me," he said in response. He didn't care about sharing the position with someone. He didn't really crave the position for himself in the first place, so sharing it didn't matter. It just meant he didn't have to do everything. However he had no idea what this Hershel character could do or who he was. They had never actually met, and so Naisu would have to correct that at some point. It would be most efficient to find some common ground with the man..or thing that would be sharing the role of leading such a crucial organization.

"I'm sure you can guess that's already on my mind," Naisu replied with a smirk. Naisu was capable of strategic planning and could lure people into doing exactly what he wanted. He was at the very least a good adviser. If this Hershel character was important than he would simply delegate certain roles of the leader position to him, such as the distribution of orders and the military aspects of their operations. Naisu was a capable fighter himself, but he knew it was smarter to delegate tasks to achieve a better, more organized system. Trying to do everything himself would just be a waste of his time and energy.

"I'll go see to some necessary arrangements for all of this. Take care Kabuto," Naisu gestured toward the snake with a wave signaling his exit.

There was so much to do. So much to sort.
