Description: The Holy Flames of Rebirth are not quite as they seem, despite often being harkened to 'Fire Magic', they are much more than that, utilizing both the abilities of Fire Magic and Holy Magic. This fusion of two elements is rare its attainment is beyond the reach of most people. However, in a small village known as Lorwyn, lost to most people of De Fiore, the different iterations of Holy Magic of Rebirth are commonplace. This village is where Kurusu and his siblings hail from. Being an elemental, Kurusu's Holy Flames have fused with his own body, granting him a body composed of flames that are not as they seem.
All users of Rebirth magic have a similar set of abilities, differing only based on their base element. Each user of Rebirth magic has had their element infused with Holy Light, turning their element a pure white and allowing it to glow fiercely in darkness. Users of Rebirth magic have the ability to use Holy Light separately from their own element, as well as the ability to use their own element separately from Light. This 'Holy Light' is not the same as the normal light element, in many ways, it functions similarly, however, it is rumored to be bestowed by the very Gods themselves. This means Holy Light is a devastatingly powerful element, able to solidify itself into powerful weapons, but also being able to be shot in powerful blasts. Holy Light is also imbued with fragments of the user's soul, each attack is strengthened by the user's own life force.
Kurusu is nowhere near mastering his abilities as a Rebirth wielder. He is currently unable to separate his own fire from the Holy Light granted by his magic, limiting his skills immensely. His fiery light blasts are still powerful, however, they are limited to just that, fiery blasts. He finds himself incapable of harnessing the magic to do much more. Each user of Rebith magic also gains one ability unique to them alone. Kurusu's is known as 'Absorb Stance'.
Abilities:
The Fire Within: Kurusu is capable of harnessing his Holy fire to create objects/weapons passively, or even fire weak blasts without utilizing a spell. Weapons created in this manner will increase Kurusu's melee damage by 20%, while blasts fired this way deal melee damage equal to Kurusu's base melee damage.
Absorb Stance: Absorb Stance is one of the user's most critical abilities, it allows them to absorb spells, regaining MP. There is, however, a drawback to this, the user must ideally spend a one post prepping the Absorb Stance, which entails not casting a spell during that post. This is called a 'Prepped Stance'. When this is performed, the user regains the amount of MP that it would take for them to cast a spell of their rank, and take 25% of the damage the spell would have otherwise caused them. Once Prepped Stance has been used once, it must be charged again. If the user does not charge for a post and decides to absorb a spell, it is called a 'Crude Stance' and they only gain 1/2 the MP that it would take to cast a spell of their rank, not to mention the fact that they cannot use spells or Absorb Stance for one post after Absorbing in Crude Stance, and also take 50% of the damage that the spell would normally have dealt to them. Absorb Stance cannot absorb the likes of Summons or Ex-Quip spells.
Soul Shards: Kurusu's magic is charged by fragments of his own soul, passively making his spell 20% more effective, and making it impossible for Slayers of his rank or below to eat his spells without taking 50% of the damage that the spell would have normally dealt and only regaining 1/2 of the MP that they would have otherwise gains. Additionally, because of this, those that are normally immune or resistant to fire magic cannot apply these affects against Kurusu's magical abilities.

Rank: D
Description: Kurusu's hands begin gathering Holy fire as he mutters/says the incantation, "Shine forth, the light of Rebirth! May you burn eternally, and strike down my foes! Fireblast!" The white flames crawl up his arms, yet, oddly, not burning his clothing, or his allies. The blasts charge instantly, and once that has happened, they can either be merged by Kurusu bringing his hands together in some way, or they can be utilized separately. If combined, the single blast deals D-Rank damage, though if fired separately, each one will deal 0.5 D-Rank damage. Kurusu does not have enough control over his magic to fire the blasts, so he instead uses them when punching. Kurusu is capable of creating blasts, but not using them for up to two posts.
Strengths:
- Can be fired as one blast or two blasts.
- Does not damage to the user or those they perceive to be their allies.
Weaknesses:
- Since the spell requires an incantation, it cannot be used if the user is gagged or somehow unable to talk.
- The blasts cannot actually be fired, the must be physically punched at an enemy.
- It is impossible to use this spell in any scenario that requires stealth since it creates bright, glowing flames across the user's arms.
