She stared at the open waters of this world, all from a stump from a tree that fell long ago. Bark stood up like walls around her, almost making her seat into a chair. Her eyes wandered over the land, trying to find meaning and a purpose. She needed to know what this world was, and why she was here. She knew who she was, but she wanted to know why.
"I wonder who else is out there." she would say to herself. The trees around her carried no scent with the breeze, nor sound. Not a single soul was in sight, and not a single heart beat for some distance. She could only wonder who else was out there.
