[Job/Solo] Medicine Run(Rin)

Job Info:

It was a rainy day in Oak Town, dressed from head to toe in a rain coat and rain boots, Rin was running through the pouring rain. She had accepted a job to deliver medicine to a sick young girl who lived at the edge of town. However, she did not account for the weather. Her boot made splashes in the large puddles of water formed on the ground from the water falling from the sky above. She ran as fast as she could making sure not to slip and fall. Rin never did really like rainy weather much. It kind of always had a way to bring her down. However she had no time to let the crappy weather bother her, she needed to hurry and get to the shaman's shop.

Rin arrived at the shaman's shop, and went in. She was surprised to see the long line in the place. Something told Rin she'd be there for awhile. She lifted the hood of her coat from her head, revealing her strawberry blonde hair and long elf ears to everyone there, causing a few heads to turn. Hopefully this wouldn't take long.

Rin finally got to see the shaman, lucky for her the girl's mother had already pre-ordered the medicine. "Excuse me sir, I'm here to pick up stomach medicine for a woman named Emily." The shaman simply gave Rin a busniess smile. "I think we got an order like that not too long ago. Let me go check." The shaman walked into the back of the shop, only to return moments later with a felt sack. "I believe this was your order, stomach medicine." Rin checked the contents of the sack to confirm and nodded after looking inside. "Yes, this is the right one."

Rin took the medicine, "thank you sir, you've been a great help. The shaman smiled  Rin then dashed out of the shop in a hurry. She placed the sack with the medicine in her rain coat's pocket and snapped it shut so she wouldn't lose it. Rin then picked the pace back, starting by walking fast before in turned into a sprint then a run. Rin needed to hurry up and get to the destination. There was no time to waist. As she was running, the rain at some point had stopped, and only dark clouds remained. It was strange for it to all of a sudden stop but, Rin couldn't get distracted by such a trivial thing. She kept up the pace. She just hoped she'd get there soon.

In order to reach Emily's residence, Rin had to pass through the market place. Despite how the weather had been, vendors and shoppers alike were still out looking at what each vendor was selling. Each stand had interesting and unique merchandise that piqued Rin's curiosity but sadly, she had no time to window shop. Delivering the medicine to Sarah took priority. After all, Rin could always come back here to look around once she had completed the job. Rin tried her best to weave her way through the crowd of people despite its difficulty. Once she was out, she continued on her way. However, not before long, Rin heard her stomach growl making her aware of her hunger. Rin had thankfully brought a granola bar with her just in case. Normally Rin always remembered to eat breakfast but seeing as she had a job first thing, she completely forgot about it. She slowed down to a quick walking pace so she could eat the snack she brought with her.

Rin walked fast while eating the granola bar. She eventually reached a rather large house. She wasn't sure if it was the right one but, she decided to ring the doorbell in order to confirm. A few moments later, a rather young looking woman answered the door. She looked to only be about 3 or 4 years older than Rin. She smiled kindly at Rin. "You must be the one who accepted the job. I'm Emily, Sarah's mom." Rin nodded respectfully to Emily. "yes, I'm Rin Moriyama." Emily invited Rin into her home. Rin took her invitation as to not be rude. Rin followed Emily inside, down the hall and up the stairs. They stopped in front of a door that had a sign on it that read 'Sara's Room' in cute lettering.

Inside, a young brunette haired girl lie in bed looking as if she was in pain. Rin stood in the doorway and watched as Emily approached Sarah's bed. "Sarah sweetie, a nice girl brought you medicine for your tummy ache." With that said, Emily motioned Rin to come inside and over to the bed too. Rin did so and was now at Sarah's bedside standing next to Emily. Sarah looked up at her mother and Rin and managed to smile slightly. Rin handed Emily the sack with the medicine in it and Emily mixed the powder medicine into the glass of water sitting on Sarah's bedside table. Rin really hoped the medicine would help the child feel better. As Rin watched Emily fix the medicine drink, she looked around the room, noticing all the cute decor that Sarah had. It certainly seemed to fit her.

Rin watched as Emily had Sarah sit up. Emily held the glass while Sarah drank it all. Once she finished, Sarah laid back down and almost instantly fell asleep. The medicine would work while she slept. Emily and Rin stepped out of the bedroom, closing the door quietly behind them. "Thank you so much miss Rin for all your help. Rin shook her head. "No, I'm glad I could help you and your daughter." They exchanged a few more words before Emily showed Rin to the door. Rin left the house and headed back in the direction of the market district. She felt good about herself. Rin was glad she could be of help to that little girl and prayed for her quick recovery. Maybe this would teach the girl to not eat too many cookies from now on.
