NPCs For Others?

I've thought about it for a while, and it's a fact that I DO want others to be able to use NPCs. As far as use and all that, those rules have been made long ago.

NPCs cannot apply for anything.
NPCs cannot make threads.

As a result, an NPC heavily relies on other PCs, or Player Accounts to craft things for them. They cannot join missions, so they have to task themselves with events to get any growth. But they do have some benefits.

No character application needed.
No Class/level exams. (Get EXP, get rank)

NPCs have been, and will always be situational and somewhat temporary. They are for plot purpose and to help others build their story upon. They all have a lifespan and a shelf-life. But the question stands... How, and when will others get NPCs?

I've given a few away to members who proved themselves to me by being active and making content for others. Some got theirs for Beta-Testing purposes, others because I'm horrible at saying no to certain people. But my question is. . . .

If I put NPCs in the shop to buy, would they be bought? Would you like you make your own? Would you like to take a pre-made one? What if they were given out as a reward for top poster? What about if they were event rewards? What if you could hire an NPC to be your slave or whatever else?

What do you all think?

I just think they should be allowed as, you know, characters to include in rp when your plot so demands it, not as some prize.

Question remains. You're saying yes, but you haven't said anything.

I want them to be available to be used more than just as a test or an event reward. Please read it over again...

Anyway, I don't think that they should be bought. You should be able to make your own. And like I said, I don't think they should be given out as rewards to top poster, but more or less like an event reward, maybe, or give them to special plot planners...

And please don't keep them as slaves. .-.

I suppose buying would be okay, too, if the price was low.

There's no way in hell NPCs will be freely given away. It's either buy premade, or buy to make your own.

The only ones given away being strong af ones who have bonuses. NPCs are meant for a single arc of a character's life, like serving as someone's mentor, or making someone's parent's IC. If you want to do in depth with them, they should be an alt, not an NPC. (Not like there's an Alt limit/)
