White Knight Fading Black [Private/Dende]

As the blade begun to swing upwards toward him, Dende charged his weapon towards the ground. There was no doubt that he held the weaker sword. But if I could split his sword with his own blade, he cold slow it down enough to make a difference.

When his blade would begin to break, he would release it from his grasp when it was near to its mark. With his own hands he would clasp the blade. He could not get out unscratched, but this would be his move. This was all he could do for now. From then, he would try to wrestle his blade back.

For that was all he could do.

Nanashi immediately followed up his attack with a slice back across Dende's helm, while taking advantage of the height difference between the two. Nanashi’s height advantage over Dende made it so as it was an easy target to follow up with, as Dende’s head met Nanashi’s torso. Dende would try to clasp the blade, reaching with his arms at the level of his eyes but it would be an awkward clasp indeed. It was a foolish maneuver to immediately go straight for the blade so soon after an exchange like that, rather than to roll or find some other maneuver to re-adjust his position. Instead he found himself in an awkward situation. The blade likely would dissect his brain if it met the helm, as the armor could not protect him from the sword’s blade.

It was a shame about the wanderer’s sword though. He had always liked it.

With ill words, he was met with ill fate. He was a foolish man indeed. His height and attention span short, just as his life.

He was a knight, and so he died at night. Dende would have never expected to feed the blade with himself but it was the will of the poorly written plot of Pandora, and all that was unknown in the lands.
