Halloween Town Hunt

The strikes of low notes galloped across a simple, but haunting Keyboard. Black figures strolled passed and shadows shuffled in the cold breeze. Ruby felt like she had escaped one nightmare and soon found herself another; To think, a week ago she killed a Toon Hunter that practically wanted to rape her dead corpse and now she was with other nightmarish toons. Although, She would rather be here than in the later situation she had found herself to be in. Ruby had camouflaged herself by wearing a black and purple cloak and of course, the powers of the Light God Slayer put an aura of Dark light around her; forcing her to blend in with the current crowds.

"Excuse me, Sir?" Ruby patted the keyboard player on the shoulder which made him hit the keys off note putting a terrible ending to his beautiful, yet haunting song. A growl was heard  followed by an annoyed voice "What is it.. misssss?" The snake like sounds petrified Ruby but she continued with her question. "Have you seen any rampaging creatures?.. Destroying things and such?" Ruby's question would have been out of the ordinary in a normal land but in this land the question seemed to be in the norm. "Ah. Yes. Down Town Hallo Town- You will find beasts not of this land." The snake like being turned back around to play another tune as ruby levitated. "Thank you." Ruby bowed her head slightly under her hood and began to travel down the main road to Down town hallo town.

The flicker of lanterns and the howls of wolves made the already creepy journey down town even more horrifying. At multiple occasions the lights went completely out and Ruby had to hover quickly through to the small vanishing lights ahead. The chill of the wind took her cloak upwards and ripped it side to side causing a vicious icy coldness to be plunged against her bare skin. Intense shivering shook her body uncontrollably and it was in that moment she realized that the past few hours of walking caused her body to freeze. Her body was nearly numb and her fingers could barely grip anything; If Ruby did not get out of this cold she would likely freeze to death and she knew it.

She quickly and suddenly rushed herself to the nearest building which happened to be an old abandon theater. A great creaking noise followed by a slam sounded the area as she wiggled her way in through the boarded off building. Ruby held her body tightly and rubbed herself all over causing as much friction as possible to warm herself up. She made a mental note, the next time she traveled she would definitely bring better clothing for the cold. Ruby smirked as she finally began to warm up but suddenly out of the shadows came a small excited laugh that caught her attention instantly. This was followed by a large rock being thrown in her direction, It was fast too!

Ruby's Shoulder was struck by the Large stone causing her to take a single step backwards. The creature and two of his buddies revealed themselves from the shadows only to throw more rocks and giggle excitedly. Now that Ruby saw her targets she slashed out her keyblade and countered the stones with her own slashes. The keyblade went forth and struck one of the Goblin looking creatures in the face putting an end to his shenanigans. The second strike missed the tricky devils but the third strike was thrusted forwards into the belly of one of the Targets; Taking him out of commission for good. Ruby followed the last Running foe through the darkness of the theater until she tripped over a declining bit of wood. The fall made her hit her face against a nearby seat and stunned her for a hot moment.

The last little goblin popped up from another seat to throw a rock but Ruby slashed her keyblade brilliantly across the Goblin's neck. She made a sigh of relief but the fun was just beginning. Within the massive theater there was large spider webs throughout the area and especially next to the stage. As Ruby looked off the balcony she saw many foes which she recognized from word of mouth from thee folk of Halloween Town. These creatures were the ones she was suppose to take care of. "Looks like this is their base of Operations.. Smart."

Ruby took a Deep breath, She noticed a few more creatures behind her giggling. The giggles echoed and soon after large rocks were tossed swiftly at Ruby's body. Four of the little devils rushed Ruby quickly as she rose her Keyblade to defend herself. Each strike from the silver beauty paraded the little bastards backwards until there was no where left to go. The massive key swiped across the heads of the four tricky goblins and in one foul swoop they vanished to darkness.

"Huh.. They turn to Darkness when they're defeated?" Ruby watched as the dark streaks faded to nothingness. She walked to the closest staircase in order to get to the lower levels of the theater. Ruby hovered down the stairs making sure to hide herself within the shadows. A large Creature beat his belly wildly, Fixed his oversized steel helmet and smiled dementedly as it picked up a handful of quivering goblins. CrUnCh! The goblins let out little screams as they were literally eaten alive. Ruby gulped, This one would be a little tougher to take out. She tightened her grip on the keyblade's handle and flew fiercely into the massive creature. As the keyblade shot into the Big Bellied beast it bounced off, Forcing it and its wielder backwards into a wall. "Woah. This really will be tougher.." As soon as Ruby recovered the Beast and four more goblins prepared for an all out fight.

Ruby Jumped off the wall zooming towards the five enemies she faced in front of her. "SOLAR FLASH!" Ruby pointed the keyblade directly at the big belly and from the keyblade's tip came a sudden Silver orb that exploded forward smashing brilliantly into the massive creature. The technique caused the beast to explode into darkness all the while Ruby came down in an elegant fashion into the exact position the big beast had once stood upon. Ruby circle swung around with her keyblade which managed to hit each of the goblins with a swift speed. All that remained was darkness which began to vanish to nothingness and a clear path ahead to the next fight.

Ruby flew on ahead doing her best to hide herself within the shadows so she would be able to form a surprise attack on the next group of foes. She also made sure to take a small break before she got to the next group in order to recover her Magic power. She scouted out the area which held many cob webs but that was not the only thing it held. a Massive Wolf like creature with jet black fur growled fiercely at its prey. It was as if it had already sighted Ruby and was ready to dig into her body in order to get his daily protein. Ruby levitated upwards 15 meters high and thought of a plan that would destroy the Wolf.

Ruby felt the hideous howl of the black wolf as she levitated In the air; She knew exactly what to do in this current situation. The Wolf would get a lot closer to her if she used the keyblade but if she used something else.. Maybe the Wolf wouldn't even get a chance to strike her. Ruby put her keyblade away and replaced it with a special relic that she had been waiting to use. The Sparkling Fae smiled slightly and from under her cloak as she pulled out a small, but elegant wooden stick that was only a foot in length. Ruby charged downwards into the Wolf all the while extending the staff back to its eight foot normal size. The staff definitely caught the beast by surprise and as it howled once more the staff plunged right into its mouth. Ruby thrusted forwards, forcing the staff into the beast's throat and downwards into it belly, Forcing it into a nearby wall and causing internal damage to the black beast.

Ruby then threw the beast to the side with her staff while keeping on her guard just in case. The beast faded away with a blast of Darkness but just as that happened a large armored fellow popped up from no where. "..Looks like these things can just appear in a flash of darkness!" Ruby said to herself as she prepared her staff. The big fellow charged with his armored body straight into ruby and as it did she thrusted her staff right at his core. However, Ruby was thrown backwards by the large belly into a cracked wall. The force made ruby fly through and with her, the bellied beast followed. The room they were now in was filled with realistic puppets which was pretty creepy.. but given the fact they were in Halloween town, It was normal. Ruby quickly dodged the next charge and thrusted her staff into the back of the Bellied beast which ended in a great success. Ruby had won the fight.. But a growling sound put her back on her toes.

Ruby found herself flying away quickly from the Identical black beast that she had fought earlier. She swiftly rushed onto a grand stage where the lights made sure to spotlight her and the Beast. The Black Wolf slashed its shadowy claws at Ruby as she thrusted her mystical staff forwards in hopes to block. The claws barely reached her and thankfully for her staff the damage was kept to a minimum; but it was still painful. Ruby floated in the middle of the stage, glaring at her enemy and preparing for her next attacks; However, before she could make another strike- from out of the darkness appeared two fat armored fellows. Ruby was now surrounded from all sides by the Dark creatures and without a second thought they charged at her fiercely. Ruby was pounded backwards by one of the big belly fellows and then shot out again by the other armored fellow in a twin combo that directed her flying body to the Black Wolf..

The attack surely brought Ruby into right into the eminent Attack of the Wolf. "Damn it.. " Time seemed to slow down and blood exhaled brightly from Ruby's mouth. "..I was saving this.." Ruby closed her eyes; She thought about gaining more power, She had to! Ruby had the responsibility to show the world that her guild was a power not to be reckoned with.. Ruby Retracted her Monkey Gods Staff to a single foot and replaced it with a weapon like none other. With a single slash she tore through all three enemies, sending them back to the dark abyss.. The Weapon shined in the spot light with its red and white stripes and powerful Frozen aura. "..I was saving this for a rainy day, But it looks like I would have been taken out If that wolf hit me one more time." Ruby spoke to herself and sighed.

"Ah.. So that's your Ace?.. I would have thought The Guild Master of Majestic Majesty would have something like that!" A spooky laughter came from the shadows of the Stage and simultaneously cheering came from the audience. Ruby looked at the once empty seats. They were all filled with Halloween town folks which was surprising since it was all boarded off. "..Bastard! It was a set up.." Ruby glared into the Shadows as her cheeks bled pink. Not only was she being watched but her ACE was revealed; But who was this guy? what did he want with her?

Ruby gripped the hook axe tightly with both hands. To think this was a set up almost made her lose her cool; Luckily for her this wasn't the worst thing that ever happened to her so it wouldn't take the cake. It wasn't the fact that she was checkmated, It was because her most powerful weapon was revealed to the hitman AND halloween town. There was a reason the hitman set her up and it was probably to boost his own reputation by killing her. It was a wise decision made by himself seeing as Ruby was the guild master of one of the only Light based organizations. If it wasn't for himself and his own reputation then it was most certainly a contract set to take her out payed by a dark organization before she did any real damage to that particular community.

"Te-hehehe! Can't believe you fell right into my trap!" The hitman spoke deeply as he put a silencer on his heavy duty pistol. "..Got to silence my shots to hear your pain!" He spoke once more before Ruby could even reply. "I am curious who hired you to take me out- Or maybe your doing it for yourself?" Ruby levitated in midair with a spotlight shining upon her beautiful body. The hitman fixed his green tie and brushed off his suit before taking his desired aim. "Oh? Since your going to die anyways.. I might as well tell you. Its a Dark Organization called VIXEN. Came straight from the top.. Not that the info will be used by you." He pointed his pistol masterfully and smiled. "Goodnight, Sweetheart."

The hitman slammed his finger swiftly into the trigger, releasing the intricate process of the pistol. The bullet flashed through the air at tremendous speed and as soon as the bullet came within feet of Ruby's heart she instantly protected herself with the giant hook axe; Causing the bullet to bounce off and officially starting the final show down. Ruby flew downwards making sure to protect her organs and face on the way down. Meanwhile the hitman fired at her arms and legs, grazing across each of the limbs. The plan of the hitman was to cause as much pain as possible- As instructed by the Leader of VIXEN. As soon as Ruby reached nearly a meter away from the suited fellow he produced a combat reload followed by an entire unload of his most recently entered clip. The bullets hit the hook axe and mostly her left arm, leaving it in bad condition.

Blood rushed down her left arm and the damage was seemingly apparent; The arm would be out of commission for the final moments of the duel. However, this did not stop her from fighting; Ruby slashed forwards with the Hook axe using her right arm strength and the momentum of her body- Cutting the right hand off the hitman. His gun was carried away with the hand into the crowd, who shouted bravo and encore! Ruby had this bastard right where she wanted him.

The Hitman's eyes grew wide as he realized his weapon as well as his right hand had been taken from him. However, During the attack Ruby's grip had weakened and released the Large weapon, causing it to fall to the base of the stage. There was nothing more she could do with the hook axe.. Without her left arm the Axe was way too heavy to swing a second time over and so she quickly switched over to plan 'B'. Ruby swiped the Monkey king's staff from under her cloak, forcing it to extend outwards into the Hitman's throat. The attack left the man on his knees, trying to gain air to breathe. "Its over." Ruby's left arm dripped in crimson blood, The audience gasped at the swift victory, and the Hitman simply just smirked darkly. "..Well, Well, well.. Looks like you handled this one Less than expected.. You will be easy to take out next time." The man's yellow eyes seemed to smile one last time before he bursted into shadowy smoke, fading from existence. Ruby frowned and Put away her weaponry, all the while leaving the stage- 'Less than Expected?' She thought to herself. The next time she would be taken out? Ruby could not help but think about what could happen if she didn't train harder and gain more allies. Even though she had some good gear the training her body would have to endure would prove to be difficult, yet rewarding if done correctly for the future. She had to do it; For the Goddess of Light, For her Tribe, and for Majestic Majesty.. Next time she would be ready to win the battles that would come to pass.

... Why didn't you roll the Monster Dice for this mission? You know the thing that tells you whether you're fighting the Weak Scale, The Strong Scale, the Boss, etc. etc.

You also didn't clear five waves of enemies. o.o

Didn't say I had to roll any dice in the Job description. O.o totally did do 5 waves. The boss was the last wave. Unless I'm missing something?

Huh... When I started this- Forever ago, I was under the impression that I had a choice to roll or not- In the Job description It simply just says complete 5 waves.. Which was completed. 200 word posts and a total of ten posts to complete the job.
