Rubastax Akaso was born in the Lost City of Cathyron as billions upon billions of others, and he was to be the heir of Akaso Industries - a megacorporation with a stranglehold on the arcanotech market.
His father, Victor Akaso, died before he could finish his magnum opus, an arcanotech life form which would meld with its host in a symbiotic relationship, feeding off their magical energy to reproduce and function.
These symbiotic, artificial beings of magic would be called “Mechafract”, deriving from the words “Mekhane” and “Fractus”, in reference to a deity of machines and technology worshipped as “Fractus Mekhane”, or “The Broken God”.
They would enter the host with a drink or an injection, and would form numerous, small organs within the body that would function as bags of holding to store all of the Mechafract, numbering in the dozens so that if one was removed, all mechafract was not removed with it.
And, simply put, he finished it, and tested it upon himself. As a result, he lost all magical ability, and his body was rebuilt by the Mechafract within him to suit his own ideal of beauty - what the mind wanted, the body changed to do.
Eventually, he would go on to develop simple and reliable weaponry for the Twelve Hellbreaker Legions utilizing the base principles of magic and technology to create simple but terrifying effective instruments of war. He would ascend into the ranks of the Hellbreakers himself after proving his prowess in battle by defeating a Cyberdemon with nothing but claws made of hardened Mechafract, and, well, now he is here, on his third long-term assignment.
In a city much like his birthplace, Novahome, with the simple task of establishing a body modification clinic.
