The Heir To The Throne [Private]

He was a royal knight. He was. He isn't anymore.

Here he was mayor, ruler of the entire city. His guild name erased by his own hand, and rewritten to replace and inherit the power of a new entity, Fairy Tail.

It was no longer about Twilight Dragon, yet their capital still stood in this city. He earned it, he owned it. There was no reason to move to Magnolia to the ruined hall of a former guild. No, he was leading an organization into a new time, and in this state, he needed a following. He needed allies, strong members to help him in his quest.

He walked down the streets with dozens of people walking by with bags of merchandise in their hands. They smiled at him and some even bowed. It was his city and he improved their life. But some, only few, asked of the former founder, Rin, and of her disappearance. He wouldn't say or show much.

But still he walked proudly.

He would give a light laugh to the citizens of his city. He knew all of their faces, their names, their stories and there loyalty. He had access to all of their records and information. When something went wrong, he knew exactly was the problem and where to find them. Everyone there was his people. . . all but one.

He would change his direction to make his way to the new face that bore clothing that seem to fit him snug. Perhaps he had a reason to venture into this city. There was no real reason anyone came here other than for shopping or for the scenery, and he looked as if he had taken it all in.

"I am Shirou Fate of Fairy Tail." he would address himself, and the world around them would continue as if nothing happened. "I am also mayor of this city. I don't recognize you, are you new around?" He asked, already knowing the answer.

Perhaps this man was the perfect subject.

"Member?" He laughed. The people around them were just pawns in the scheme of it all, but even so they mattered. But the man didn't need loyal servants, he wanted allies, an army. He wanted people to help him, not blindly obey his words. He needed a following and to restore the tainted name Rin had burdened him with. He was former nobility but in this world of Pandora it meant nothing.

"I'm the Guildmaster." he'd answer, "I imagine your residence is temporary, as there's no openings in any housing outside of inns and renting places. If you would like to live in the halls of my guild I'll be more than happy to accommodate you, but in turn I'd need you to run some errands for me time to time. "

And so it begun.

No one was perfect, especially mortals. Even the gods had flaws, but still, the gods were never wrong in their actions.

"I would have more of an issue if you actually blended in with your surroundings." he spoke, like a king, but still a mortal human man. "You are both welcome to stay and move in, your payment for your space is nothing more than a few menial tasks for me. Such as little errands like fetching goods here and there in this city, or further if you pleased."

He'd laugh, "I've had demons walk my halls before, I'd see you'd be better than a being made of pure chaos."

THIS ISN'T MAGNOLI

He smiled at the simplicity of what lay before him, "Consider my home, your home, and this city, your city." He gave a laugh, "You don't have to pay me anything, only your time. The day you walk into my halls, with or without this Shane, I will give you the mark of our guild, and from that moment, anything in this city, is just as much yours as it is anyone elses."

He was a kind man. He was honest and noble. He was sincere cared for all of his people. He protected them. He was their white knight. At least, that's what people thought of him. Only only those in the guild knew of the dark dealings that kept the city safe and protected.

In a city as peaceful as it was, and with citizens who blindly supported their leader and guild, there was questions. They we never extorted, but what was the real reason they gave them all they had?

Who was this man and what was the guild really about?
