Personality: As a naturally upbeat person, Ciri pushes herself to see past harsh realities and move forward even when life decides to completely uproot her sensibilities. She's young, and doesn't have much of a choice but to depend on others when she falls short of what needs to be done. This lets her see potential in her friends as not a threat to her pride, but as something to rely on in times of great stress.
She's kind, but her serious mannerisms - the concerned glare, looks of disapproval, the stern frown and crossed arms - lead credence to the appearance of a distant and critical individual. It's a farce, mostly. It has more to do with how emotionally invested she gets, both with her pokemon and closest friends. She believes everyone is capable of improving themselves, and only wishes them to have the best environment(and encouragement) to do so.
Battling, like everything else, is a learning experience. Losing is a part of that, and she understands that defeat makes victory all the sweeter. However, she doesn't have to like it. In fact, she's highly competitive, especially when it comes to her fellow trainers and she can be a rather sore loser. To make matters worse, she can't let things go. She needs to know why she lost, or what led her to win in the first place - an inquisitive nature that bleeds over into a rather boisterous, and sharp curiosity.
She's still a teenager so, her viewpoints are still rather limited, and she can be stubborn if she believes she has the right of it in a given situation. But, she isn't the sort to jump the gun so to speak. Instead, she prefers an approach that provides her with the most information possible before making a decision. Sometimes though, that preference means very little, and when emotions are high and stress is heavy, she relies on impulse before thought.
