His demonic friends weren't either, but demons wrecked havoc here and were considered to be one of the most twisted forms of life. Around him were the dismembered bodies of around 15 toon town civilians. They tried to attack him. Evidently they didn't take well to hearing his father's name. Why did he kill them, was he evil? The man was so engrossed in trying to figure this out, that he didn't hear the other party walk into the bar.
