[Iron Fist Tournament] Mei v. Yoshimitsu

MEI v. "YOSHIMITSU" The rules of the tournament are to be followed to the letter. No one is exempt from these rules. The only time a rule may be overruled is if both parties agree to the change. #1.) Everyone must fight all participants at least once. If someone drops out, all future scheduled combats are claimed as a win by default. #2.) All fights will be prescheduled in a predetermined area. Participants cannot change where they fight that match, however they may influence the area if agreed upon. #3.) Based on the rules of each individual fighter, they may risk their lives to raise the stakes. A Medical team will be present at every match unless both participants decide otherwise. The offical terms for this are as followed: Mortal's Edge: No medical team will be present at the match. As a result, it is possible for either participant to lose their lives. They however will receive double the prize money, and an additional Experience Reward. High Calibur: The more common method of engagement. A medical team will be present at the event. After the fight, lives will be restored and all injuries will be mended and recovered. The fighters will only receive a monetary reward. #4.) No pets, companions or intrusions will be permitted at any event. The only exception is an agreement between both fighters. #5.) Both participants must be active for both the fight and rewards. Failure to post in a timely fashion will have various consequences. After 48 hours, the last post made will count as an "Auto-Hit" and the fight will carry out as if that post is the truth, and cannot be interrupted or changed. After 72 hours, the inactive participant will receive a warning post by any member. This is to remind them that they have a thread that needs attention. After 108 hours, the participant who did not post will lose by default, regardless of the condition of the fight. #6.) Both fighters must be posting at least 100 words per post. Their posts may no exceed 1,500 Words. Should either of these rules be broken, their post may be up for being edited, or voided entirely. #7.) Anyone is allowed to spectate the fight. Spectators will have no effect on the fight at all. They may post once every 24 hours from their last post. However, if the current user is in another fight that is currently going on, they may not spectate. MISHIMA ARENA An arena placed inside the large building where most of the festivities are held. It overlooks many of the celebrations. The arena itself is caged off from both the participants leaving, and from celebrators from influencing the fight. To leave the caged area is to declare forfeit by default. The arena is octagonal, and is 100m wide. There are three of these areas located in the center of the building. Lights illuminate the flooring.

YOSHIGE HAS HAS FIRST POST

The mask sat over his face tightly. He stared at his opponent across the way. From where he was, he couldn't make out who it could be, but they seemed his height. The mask would hide his identity, the mouth of it opened just a bit to let him breathe, and let other things out. Today, he was not Yoshige, he was the Immortal Yoshimitsu. He was the warrior from his childhood stories. "I should have gotten a weapon." he thought to himself, looking at his hands. If they had anything, it put him at a disadvantage. He needed a way to get the upperhand. But whatever the case, he was sure to spill blood all over the arena. . .  No matter who they were.

Mei would stand across the arena from someone. They seemed very tiny just like her! She wondered who it was. She couldn't quite make it out. They smelled familiar though. Who was it that smelled like this? Mei would oddly enough sniff the air a moment but give up as she couldn't remember who it was. All she could tell was that she had met them before. Who was it? The small child would poke herself in the middle of her forehead as she tried to think. "Come on, brain," she would mumble.

At this moment, Mei was completely care free. She was in the arena all alone. She had handed Captain Hoppy over to the pretty lady and she hoped they were both still watching her fight. It would help her a lot knowing someone was cheering for her.

Spitting up blood, the red liquid would drip out from his mask. It was ominous and creepy for someone on the outside to watch, but for him, it was preparation. He would be able to recover quick from his wounds, hoping only that he was the one causing the wounds. "So we begin?" he thought to himself, standing there, the blood pouring from his mask. He wasn't sure what to expect. It was better to react, than to rush into the unknown. All he could think about was what the hero from his tale would do. Would Yoshimitsu The Immortal face his foe? Or would be wait to them to close in? There was much to think about, and less to act upon. Who was going to make the first move.

Mei would blink as the lady shouted to begin. She would look the left and to the right. There weren't all that many faces turned to watch the little people. They all seemed to be focused on other things. A few people watched them but not many. Then, Mei would look ahead of her. Her opponent seemed to just be sitting there. Why? Was it waiting for her? Mei didn't want to go first. That seemed to be very rude. Then again, they were fighting so maybe it wasn't. What was she supposed to do? The small brunette would stand staring at her opponent. Maybe, she didn't have to be so hostile about it? Instead of charging straight for her opponent, Mei would begin walking to them. Her small arms would be locked down by her sides and her hands would pay with her little green dress. What was she going to do? Well, Mei didn't know. She normally faught on instinct of danger.

With more blood spilling from his mask, he would dart to his left, sprinting around. If they weren't going to attack, he would prepare his largest assault. A red line would be made as he spilled out more and more blood. His heart racing, ready to burst. His health failing, but still, he had plans. He needed to surround them. ". . . And the great warrior surrounded his foe." he thought to himself, recalling the tale. Even if it was myth, he would make it reality. ". . . He would not let the unknown scare him. He would face his fears." He continued to run, his body dying and rebuilding all at once. His powers feeding off his health. The spiritual essence in his body repairing the wounds. It was a glorious thing to watch if you could see it. But all the crowds would see, was a boy spitting blood from behind a mask as he ran around a girl like a vulture.

Red Mist: At the cost of a 1:2 ratio, the user can sacrifice their MP for HP, or HP for MP. (At the cost of 30%Hp, the user can gain 15%MP and so on.)

Mei would grow more concerned as the being began to run around her, so she would stop walking. Mei didn't know what to do. Mei didn't know what she even had to work with. The small child's large, brown eyes would follow the boy as he raced around her. The smell was so familiar she was afraid to hurt him. She was afraid to do anything that might make her regret her decision but she had to do something. Mei couldn't lose while Captain Hoppy and Big Sis sat on the sidelines. 'It's ok Mei. Just think. He's faster than you Mei, so I don't think our claws will work. Hmmm.. that's the only spell we can do right now though. Hmm.. we have that funny turtle shell. But he hasn't tried to hurt us yet and it doesn't last forever... better save it.. What about... WHAT ELSE DO W- Oh... we have that...' The small girl would think to herself as brown eyes continued to follow the boy. She hadn't seemed to notice the blood trail.

After a moment of nothing, Mei would blink. She would wait. She wouldn't move. She had to wait for the right moment. She could only do what she was thinking for a short amount of time too.

Continuing to run, he would make his path a giant circle around the girl. He would close in, staying just over a couple dozen meters from his target. He wanted to get close, but not close enough to get jumped on. He needed to keep his distance. He didn't know his opponent, and he didn't want to find out. He wanted it to end before they could react. "I can make this fight shorter and in my zone." He thought to himself. He needed to get an upperhand, however slight. Even if it was an edge over nothing. He needed to win.

Brown eyes would continue to stare at the small being as he ran in circles around her. She began to notice he was coming closer slowly but surely. This would be a big problem for the girl. She was definitely going to have to go into that but there were terrible side effects. Mei couldn't use it for long nor would she have very much magic power afterwards. What was she going to do? She had to do it. She just had to.

To most of the bystanders watching the two little people fight, Mei seemed to be a poor helpless little girl. She looked scared and dumbfounded. Of course, they were wrong. Mei was the one child that always had a little trick up her sleeve. This would be evident when the small, shy looking girl would start to be surrounded in a golden aura. Her body language seemed nervous but her face seemed fierce. Her body seemed small but she felt more powerful. Who was this girl? No, WHAT was this girl? Just how strong was she?

Ability:

"The hell?!" he's say to himself, stopping and jumping back. He stopped trying to get around her. The half circle would have to do. He begun to run backwards, putting the line of blood between him and the girl. "Just who is he?" he thought to himself. From behind the mask, the distance and the angle, he knew nothing of who it was. He couldn't tell gender, name, race, or even what powers they had. But that gold glowing aura was sure to cause problems. He couldn't let himself lose this match. He was going to win this tournament flawlessly. He was sure of it.

The pint sized girl would notice the figured had jumped back away from her, when the golden aura consumed her. She watched as he started to run back the direction he came. This would confuse Mei and as she looked towards the area floor, the small girl would notice the line on the ground. It was something shiny. It looked like something liquidy like paint. Was he drawing something? Maybe drawing things was an ability of his? Either way, the girl would realize that this was moving slowly.

As Mei stood, she would realize her nervousness was rising and this drawing had made her more cautious. The small being was filled with what seemed like energy. She couldn't sit still any longer and let herself possibly lose. Brown eyes would grow more fierce as a now crimson aura began to envelop her. As soon as this happened, Mei would take off running towards the being ready to fight it with all the strength she had in her little body at this moment. The child simply hoped this would be enough.

Abilities:

Quite the fight this was turning out to be. Deemo had been sitting off in one of the far back rows, watching beneath a dark cloak with illuminate eyes glaring out from underneath it. He did not speak nor did he move. His eyes were trained on the young girl in this fight; she looked so small and frail. What a young girl such as herself was doing in such a place, Deemo could not even begin to guess. Though despite all of it, she was holding her own. It was something about that small girl, Deemo could only guess it was the similarities to her and his own sister that made him focus so closely on her. Perhaps he would even have a word with the girl at a later date. But for now he would watch, quiet and waiting.

"No. . . " he thought to himself. He begun to slow his pace. He watched the figure run at him. The holes through his mask, he saw it change shape. The aura, the mannerisms. "This can't be happening. . . " He took a stance, ready to run at them. Anger begun to fill his soul. Out of all of the people, they made this fight happen? "I can't lose." he thought to himself, blood staining his own shirt. The smell filled his mask. "But. . . I can't. . .  I can't hurt her." He would run at her. He wasn't sure what the goal was. He would tackle Mei, perhaps, turning as they were in flight, to land on his back. He would take the impact. But maybe the action alone would be enough to shock her and have her faint. But was that the right thing to do? Would he be better off giving her a real fight? He was confused on what to do, but he ran at her. "Maker save me." he thought to himself. Was living up to a children's tale worth hurting his friends over?

The small saiyan girl would run at the other small figure. She was ready to fight it. She was ready to get this match over with and try to win this tournament. She had to. She had to do it. Mei thought about Captain Hoppy and how she didn't want to disappoint him. She thought about how her new big sister and how proud she wanted her to be. Mei wanted to prove she was worth something. She wanted to prove that she was strong. Mei wanted her name to spread throughout the world so her momma would return to her. However, something would catch her off guard.

As she got closer to the figure, its smell would get stronger. The scent of blood would fill her nose and het eyes would begin to water. The smell honestly burned but through it she would find the scent of familiarity. Mei would take a deep breath through her nose and immediately try to stop. She would feel her feet stumble beneath her as she did just that. All she could think as she began to fall towards the ground was his name, "Yoshi?" Her very first living friend.

Abilities:

He couldn't let it happen. Running at her, he would bend down, sliding along the ground. He would catch the body as she fell. ". . . He would never hurt those close to him." he thought to himself, "That goes against his code." He lay there, his arms around her. His left arm caressing her head. "Dinok Dorok." were the words to escape his mouth. To him, it was a code of honor, held by a hero who transcended time and logic to save those he cared about. He was a warrior who was cast away, only to be placed in a world he didn't know. To him, the immortal samurai Yoshimitsu was everything Yoshige wanted to be. To him, he was his idol. But he lay there, his arm around Mei's head. With a simple twist he could snap her neck. He could end the fight. She would not feel the pain. She would not remember it. She would be healed after the fight. He could go on to his next match, without a single loss. "Dinok Dorok" he thought to himself. He could not bring himself to do it.   "Mei," the masked man spoke. "Don't over work yourself." He would smile from behind his guise, blood pouring from his mask. He knew she would never harm him. But he would end the fight.

The ground would come ever so close, was she kept up her crimson glow. At least if she hut the ground, it wouldn't be so painful in this state. However before such a thing could happen, Mei would feel something soft around her head and warmth around her body. Mei would feel a bit of shock as she wondered why her surroundings had changed so much. Then, his scent would surround her and his voice would reach her ears, although she couldn't tell what he was saying. The small dragon slayer would turn her head to the direction his voice had come from.

Mei's eyes would widen as they skimmed his face. It was covered but that wasn't the surprise she had been so concerned over. Blood poured out of his mask and onto his clothing. What happened to him? Was that... what the weird arc was? How much had he bled already?! Then, a remark would reach her ears that would cause her to tear up and she would attempt to wrap her left arm around his body to hug him. "B-But.. don't worry about me! Why are you bleeding, Yoshi? Are you ok?" Mei would ask quietly since they were so close to one another, then her crimson aura would fade to nothing. She couldn't do it anymore. She couldn't hurt him. He was already bleeding. She couldn't stand to harm a friend in any case. He was the only real one she had and she would never ever hurt him.

Mei would stare at Yoshi with wide teary eyes. Her magic power was very low at this point and she knew that. The small dragon slayer would smile at the though, although filled with sadness. At least, she'd be easier to defeat. She sure knew she couldn't win this one. "Yoshi. I want you to win, ok?" The small girl would hold a smile on her face as tears streamed from her eyes. She desperately wanted him to win, even if she were to lose. Even if, she were to be kicked from the tournament. Even if she were to die, she wanted him to win.

Silence would engulf them as they both fought over what was right and wrong. It was something neither of them would win. To win, was to lose. To lose, was to lose. There was no right way to go about it, and he knew that. But still, he had a code to follow. The fluids would continue to flow, staining his clothing, pouring inside his jacket. "I have blood magic. I'll be fine." he spoke, not a hint of fear in his words. "And I already won." From behind the full mask, he would close his eyes. He felt himself being weak. His own lifeforce being drained from his body. As long as on of them could still move, the battle was not over. He would end it. "I may have not won the fight," he thought to himself, "But winning a friend is the greatest prize." Smiling, he begun to drift off, still holding onto her. "That is what Yoshimitsu would do."

Mei's smile would fade as she heard about Yoshi having blood magic. Sure, that was something she wouldn't have to worry about in this tournament because of the medical teams. However, Mei couldn't help but feel panicked watching him bleed out in front of her. What if it was real? What if he wasn't here? What if he wasn't fighting Mei? What if it were something else? He could really die. Even though in the tournament he could be brought back, she didn't want to see him die. She didn't want to see him get injured. She wanted him to be safe, well, and happy. Why was he doing this?

Brown eyes would blink with confusion as Yoshi spoke about winning. He was the one bleeding out. He wasn't doing anything to eliminate her. He was... falling asleep? No. No, was he dying? Was he bleeding to death?! How was he winning?! "Yoshi," the name would come softly from her mouth. "Yoshi?" The name would come out a bit crackled but in a normal volume. "Yoshi, please?! I don't want to win. You have to win! I don't get it, Yoshi! How do you win? Please, Yoshi! Be Ok! I don't want you to bleed!" Mei would begin to cry as she put her head on his small chest. She didn't care that there was blood now covering her forehead and part of her hair. She didn't care that the scent of blood was so strong from so close. She just hugged him close.

"We wait." he said. His grasp on her beginning to weaken, but she still held on. "Point wise, I did more. My rings were enough." he would tell her. "We wait, until time runs out. Then, it's over, and neither of us get hurt." He smiled, thinking about the tale of he samurai. He remembered Ishi's old and weathered voice. He remembered the long nights where he would fall asleep on the head of that lionturtle. He didn't care how hot it was, or if it was raining. He would always find time to listen to the stories of the old creature, however scary, however happy. No matter what he said, he listened. Everything Ishi told him was real, even if he knew it was a fairy tale. "It's about doing the right thing."

Mei would continue to hug her dear friend close even if he was beginning to let her go. He spoke about how he won but how long was the timer? Mei hadn't seen a timer in any of the other fights. She hadn't heard any ringing, bells, or loud clashing noises. So, did he know something she didn't? The small brunette would continue to lay her head on little Yoshigue's chest. Tears streamed from her eyes but she didn't say a word. Mei didn't know what to say at this point. She would just have to wait. She would have to wait until this "timer" ran out, if that's what he was talking about. Then something crossed the small girl's mind, 'Why is he still bleeding?'

"First, we stay still." he said, his voice almost a whisper. "Let them believe that the blood is yours. They they will pick us up, because they think we fainted." He spoke, trying to assure her of a plan that was in place. He was going to do everything to comfort her. This fight wasn't meant to be, and for either of them to admit defeat and give the loss by default would crush them both. There was only one way for him to end it in a way that benefited them both. His heart would continue to beat rapidly. It would be constant, almost one continuous sound from his chest. As if it was ready to burst. "In this world, we will always be safe." he said, remembering Ishi's words as he was sent off. "I'll protect you." And he would continue to hold on with all of his might. His muscles would freeze, his vision turned black. His body would shut off everything just to hold on, just for a little longer.

Declaring defeat.

Mei would listen to Yoshi as he softly whispered. The small brunette could tell by his voice and by his actions that he was getting weaker. Was he really ok? Maybe, he was just getting tired. Maybe, it was a way to make things look real when the doctors came for them. Maybe, it was all just an act. That had to be it. Right? Even still, Mei was a tad worried. What would they do if they found out? What would happen to the two then? What if they couldn't help Yoshi? Sure they could. They were the best right? Mei would hug Yoshi just a tad tighter as she listened to his little heart pound fast. Was it supposed to be that way? Mei didn't know anything!

Once again, Mei would sob on the young boy. His clothing would now seemed to be soaked in blood and tears more so blood, however. After a while of laying in silence he would begin to speak again. Mei would look up towards his mask for a moment as he spoke. With this, Mei's eyes would begin to fill with tears. They would flow down her face. She didn't need anyone else to protect her. She didn't need for more people to get lost or hurt. She didn't need to drive more people away but she couldn't tell them that. Mei would just have to bear with it and try to stay as close to them as possible. She would never leave them.

Soon after Yoshi spoke, he seemed to drift off. Mei would blink rapidly as she noticed this happening. "Yoshi?... what are you doing? Yoshi?" The small girl wold hold him as tight as she could without feeling as if she were hurting him. She would lay there as tears streamed from her eyes. Mei had never felt so scared before. Not even when she almost lost her own life, "I'll protect you too, Yoshi. You can count on it. I promise.."
