Hunting Season: Thieves Among the Leaves

Job Title: No Good Thief Goes Unpunished
Job Requirements: 10 posts, 100 WC each, must have rolled 3 times to complete this mission (may choose to fight the boss if haven't rolled it after 3 tries). Maximum of three people.
Job Location: Taalos Trees
Job Description: A guild of bandits have overrun the Taalos Trees, jumping many travelers for their goods. Clear the forest of these bandits so travel can be safe once again.

Enemies:
Weak: Bandit (x1): A singular bandit by his lonesome wielding a knife (deals 1/2 D rank damage). He isn't much of a threat alone. A simple D rank of damage and he's down for the count.

Normal: Counts as 3 Weak enemies. A bit more difficult.

Strong: There is an experienced bandit wielding a sword (deals D rank damage). He is D rank level and will require a serious combatant (or special power) to overcome. Falls after 3 D ranks worth of damage.  

Boss: Counted as 3 strong enemies. Good luck.

Reward: D-Rank Reward Dice.

Nanashi made his way across the Taalos Trees as he searched for his quarry. He had come back from a small town in Western Pandora who spoke of thieves in these parts causing trouble all around. He could still remember the words of the old man who spoke to him. "They... took everything. Our money, our jewlery. Even my wedding ring. My wife and I had been married for forty years before she passed, and now the ring is gone." Nanashi comforted him as he cried great tears before he made his vow to help bring the thieves to justice. Besides with a multiple of them around.. surely they could help Nanashi test his own powers?

Nanashi continued his journey through the thick forest as he searched for the bandits terrorizing the folk of the nearby villages. With his trusty black tang blade sheathed on his right leg and his magical ability he was sure he could manage to handle these thugs. "It seems a bit strange to me... what could have driven these men to do this?" he wondered. Could it have been greed? Or were they lost souls trapped in desperation? Some men lost their way after hitting financial troubles when they arrived in Pandora. He resolved to figure it out. Through the brushing of the fresh green grass Nanashi heard footsteps. Perhaps it was time.

'Monster Dice' :

Nanashi gripped his sword hilt with his left arm as he called out to the approaching men. "WHO'S THERE!? Show yourselves!" His tone was rough and threatening, as he tried to project himself as such to scare his attackers. And out from the many trees gave three bandits armed with small knives. They stared at Nanashi with ambition in their eyes. A dark kind of ambition. It made the young wanderer almost nervous. Almost. "Lay down your arms and I will not eliminate you," he warned as he drew his blade. "You lot are better than this I am sure. Recklessly terrorizing the people of these lands, it doesn't suit you. Stand down and start anew as honest folk."

"Quit it with your tough guy talk. You're a dead man walking."

Nanashi smiled at their comment. "Well. You're not wrong," he said before he dashed to engage. They were all side by side, their guards not fully up. They were overconfident in their numbers and underestimated his abilities, underestimated his speed. That would cost at least one of them. With a single piercing one of the bandits felt a sharp sensation dig into their throat, blood splurging out as the black blade ended them forever. "You fools.... recklessly walking into your own end. I gave you an out." The other two grew angry and charged at him. But he would handle it.

And they would fall just as easily.

Nanashi removed his sword from the throat of the thief before disengaging, jumping backward to avoid the incoming attacks flanking him from both sides. They thought they could surround him, but they just weren't fast enough to pull it off. "You're going to die, you stupid traveler," they cried out to the black-haired warrior. He didn't quite mind it. If those were their last words: who was he to judge, right? They rushed him again but this time he went for a wide horizontal slash hoping to cut into both of them. One of them went down but the other managed to block it with his knife. Nanashi struck again however, taking advantage of the reach of the blade to kill him with a lunge through the skull. Dropped his body did as he was unable to stop him. Nanashi was the victor of this contest.

But reinforcements were sure to come.

'Monster Dice' :

Three more bandits came storming in towards the wanderer, armed with those same knives and ragged clothes as those who came before. "I've already played this game out with your friends there. Mind not making the same mistake?" he asked sincerely in his voice. This was boring and tedious for him. He took no pleasure in ending their lives, but he was going to defend himself and he was going to do it brutally. They looked at him funny, but ultimately decided they were better than their friends. They all rushed towards him at once, prompting him to respond to one by chucking his tang blade into their skull before disappearing with a poof in front of another. With close-range proximity established Nanashi followed up the action with a swift forward kick to the stomach with his right leg launching him into a tree. With two taken out so fast the third one stopped his attack out of fear, looking at Nanashi with wide eyes.

It prompted him to run.

The bandit tried hard to flee from the wanderer, rummaging through the cover of the scattered trees, but Nanashi was on his tail. Nanashi could catch him at any moment (being much faster) but decided to let the bandit wear out his energy trying. After this pointless chase through the forest continued on for a good ten minutes, the bandit caught his foot against a rock and tripped into the grass with a hard thud. The bandit began to catch his breath, breathing desperately as he felt the fatigue of his sprint. All the while Nanashi was coming toward him. "Last chance. Bring me to whoever is in charge and I'll spare your life...," he said one last time with a bored stare.

After tying him up Nanashi headed out towards the final location...

'Monster Dice' :

[Choosing to fight the boss]

Nanashi ran through the woods with a swift and fluid set of sprints. He was skilled at journeying through the grass and the cover of the trees. He was a mage, but also a warrior. Suddenly he noticed up ahead a group of individuals. They were carrying actual weapons. Swords. They would clearly prove to be more dangerous. But he knew he could handle it. Focusing his will into his weapon - the weapon became sharper and more conditioned. This would make the fight much faster.

He continued to run. Right on towards them. This would not be an easy fight, but that's what made it so exciting.

"You think it's okay to steal? To take from others what's not yours? I'll show you whose the better thief. Because I'm taking your lives!" he roared with a most loud battlecry as he moved faster than they could hope to comprehend. The Swordsman dashing with great haste as he swung his blade past one of the two. Completely unaware of his approach with little time to react to the shout - the first one was screaming on the ground in pain as a large slash crossed his torso, red blood spewing out.

"Bastard!" one of them cried out as they stood in place, ready now with their weapons for him to engage them. But in this terrain... they were at a disadvantage. Throwing the blade at a second guy - the mighty blade rang through quickly to pierce into the next man's shoulder right on through as he too cried out in agony. Disappearing with a puff of smoke - Nanashi teleported across the distance barehanded - where he then reached out to grab the next guy with his bare hands.
