It had arrived exactly seven days ago. The letter from Edolas. It had been completely unexpected. Zinnia didn't even know that she knew anyone from Edolas, and even if she did, they obviously weren't important enough to remember who they were. It made her confused, but the letter did offer a cash reward, so she supposed she couldn't argue. Perhaps she would go visit this stranger, see why they were calling her, and maybe ask them a few questions, too. Like, for example, how they had gotten her location so that they could send her this letter.
Now, here she was, in Edolas, searching for the place that the mysterious person said they would meet her. Honestly, Zinnia was ready for some excitement in her life. But still, the wolf kept her usually calm nature. Her scarf blew in the wind as she walked up to the location, her eyes half closed, as she thought to herself, 'Honestly, if this person's a no show....'
But just after about three minutes, an ominous figure appeared from the shadows. They also appeared to be a wolf. Ironic. But, as the wolf came forward, into the light, Zinnia noticed something shocking about her little mystery friend. They were the exact same. She was stunned. How could a wolf that looked exactly like her exist? But she quickly regained her composure, and glanced at the figure. She supposed this was speaking worthy. But, then again, this new person was a wolf. They could communicate through body language.
As the two spoke physically, exchanging paw, ear, tail, and muscle movements, Zinnia noticed that this wolf seemed much more energetic then she was. They continued talking, discussing things with her, when suddenly, Zinnia heard a rustle in the bushes, and spun around. There, she spotted two bandits. The bandits ran at the wolves, wielding things you could barely call weapons.
Zinnia frowned at this act, and side stepped backwards. Why on earth would a human challenge a wolf, with a weapon like that? The wolf snorted, and with her superior speed, ran around the humans. Her Edolas counterpart blinked in surprise, but jumped out of the way before they could hit her.
The wolfess then lunged forward, leaping onto the man's back, and digging her poison-tainted claws in. He screamed in pain, and fell to the ground, flailing about. He started foaming from the mouth, and soon went limp. The other bandit was quick to bring their bat down on Zinnia's head. She hissed. The bat drew a bit of blood. She snarled, and suddenly, a large swirl of poison gas went up around her. The human screamed in surprise, inhaling the gas.
Edolas Zinnia took this as a sign to attack, and leaped onto the human, digging her also-poison-tainted claws into his back, throwing him to the ground. Zinnia sighed, the glanced at her counterpart, asking what on earth that was. The counterpart shrugged. Suddenly, more bandits appeared from all angles.
