The Snake, Bitch, and the War Zone [Private]

It was a day of silent solemn solitude. He leaned against the white walls of the former and familiar home. While he knew nothing about the stories and the stains of the building, he had odd and eerie feelings that this house had belonged to him. But that feeling was not his alone, for the man shared it as well. While he was his nemesis, and had often attempted a gruesome on his former bodies, this was the one place they coexisted and began to work with each other. This home was a place where they were put at rest and could aid each other, rather than hinder each other's goals. But today, marked a change in that...

"I expected the leader of Snake to be a larger threat. Especially if he was my father's greatest foe." He was across the room from the body of Axil. He did not wear his armor. He sported nothing that his customary tattered attire. He was used to being a prisoner, even in his own home. But today he would begin to snowball something much larger. "You worked under the darkness of The Agency's shadows. What will you do now that they're gone?"

Aknaid continued to fiddle with the brown stick of cinnamon that rested in his mouth. His hand remained on the other end, feeling the rough texture of the object. It was one of the few and many harmless addictions he picked up from his ancestor.

A wretched and weak fool. His own arrogance would lead to his demise. His ignorance would welcome in his destructor. His insolence would make his death forgettable, wiping away his mark on this world. Their effort was futile to say the least. He was a hard headed man from a world a ways off. But had had his own duties to take care of. If he fell, then the Pandora's Protectors would gain an unnecessary amount of power. He needed to ensure the life of Snake, at least for now.

"It matters not if you do not change. This will not protect you from the inevitable." Chewing on his cinnamon stick he continued. "With The Agency out of the way, you have become the largest target for heroes who want to make a name for themselves. There is no way out of death. He will come for you."

He would push off from the wall without the use of his arms, solely using his back and the placement of his feet on the ground. "I suggest you find your successor and fast. Should you fail, Snake will be wiped from existence in a matter of days. While you did things for yourselves, you failed to make allies. In this world no one is on your side." It was then that his cold eyes would finally meet the face of Kabuto Yakushi. And it was then he spoke the truth. "I will not be the one to deliver the final blow, nor will he. But when you lay lifeless on the cold ground, it is I who will come for your soul. And it is he would will take your body into another realm." Taking the stick in his mouth he pointed at him. "Make Haste, or Lay Waste." he would say.

There was no further words to offer the stale conversation. While both Nameless and he were at wits end with each other and often attempted mass genocide of the other's peoples, they did have some mutual agreement over the recent years. It became less about them and more about the land they fought to influence. The previous battles were over who could get total control of what ideas to press into the world. While this new method allowed them both to win, and with much less effort that before. Now, instead of a game of war, it became a game of trust.

"You best go back home." Aknaid would say. His eyes fixated on the window of the kitchen, looking at the neighborhood behind it. This would be the last time he would ever negotiate with those who were destined to fail.
