Chapter I.
The Fujima clan. A family steeped in nobility from the time of its inception to the present. Their great wealth generated from specializing in Lacrima shards and selling them. It is said that one of the founding members of the clan discovered such shards though that may be disputed. The clan has a ranking system within itself, which mainly consists of regular members, elders, and a Head. There is an unbreakable rule in the Fujima clan: the head must be a blood relative. Meaning that people who had married into the clan are ineligible. The head is usually the eldest son of the family, if he is unable to serve, then the son after him serves. If there are no eligible sons to serve as Head, the position goes to the eldest daughter and so on. As of today, there have been twenty-five Heads to the Fujima Clan.
About two thousand years ago from this time. Chuichi Fujima has just found one of the first Lacrima shards. Upon finding them, he discovered a cavern filled with the jewels. He is giddy with excitement, and assembles a team to mine the Lacrima shards out of the cavern. He sold most of the shards and was paid quite handsomely for them. His earnings were in excess of 1 trillion coins, and was more than enough to earn himself a name in Fiore. He, and most of the people who worked with him to mine the shards became the founding members of the Fujima clan: A clan who has amassed great wealth from these shards.
At the age of forty-five, Chuichi was assassinated by a masked killer, but not without leaving a son, Shuhei, who would become the second Head of the Fujima clan. Shuhei immediately put many of the low-ranking members to work finding more Lacrima shards and selling them. He amassed about seventy-five million coins throughout his lifetime, not nearly enough as his father's.
Shuhei died at the age of eighty supposedly from natural causes. Though it is believed that he was poisoned. He had six children throughout his lifetime.
