Where the Flowers Bloom [Open] Empty Where the Flowers Bloom [Open]

Post by Emerald Thu Nov 24, 2016 9:18 pm

As a new member of the organinization known as Mermaid's Tail, Emerald had been learning a lot more about this strange world and the inhabitants. She still wasn't quite sure what had happened to her friends, the Crystal Gems, or Steven, but she had been becoming a lot more proficient in this land's culture. She had started to keep what the humans call a diary, to document her time in this land. She found it helped to sooth her raging nerves. Yes, she could become quite stressed, but she found that writing in a quiet place calmed her down. She wasn't quite sure how she had stumbled upon this fact, but now she did it whenever she could, as she was often busy with missions.

It was handy, her gem. It allowed her to carry the book safely without having to hold onto it in a satchel or whatever those things humans carry around are. A light green glow would emit from her emerald gem, as the journal would appear from the sparkling light particles, and landed in her hands.

She had managed to get permission from the organization's leader to come out here to relax. She had found this beautiful forest, with great oaks, and wonderful creatures, and had decided to come to relax, and write, perhaps, for a bit. Sitting down underneath the shade of a willow, she would summon a pencil, and opened the book, writing down hurriedly.

    Dear Journal,

This world is so strange, yet so beautiful. I love the people here. This world offers a great air of peace, while also giving you a dash of challenge and triumph. The creatures here are so unique and amazing! I'm sure Rose would have loved it here..."

Emerald looked up from her journal, gazing off into space, at the mention of Rose. Then she shook her head. The past is the past, and she had to move on from that. She'd get no where from simply wishing that it wasn't so. She had to move on, to the future, and figure out a way to get home. While in the mean time....

Emerald went back to writing about her day, the air around her warm and crisp, the forest bustling with calming, tranquil nosie.

Spirit wilds.. Daemon's home away from home. A quiet and tranquil patch of land nestled in the western area of Pandora brimming with peaceful wild life and natural resources. Today Daemon was spending his time sitting calmly atop a large boulder near a river with his partner Lunos resting calmly on his head with his auto mail arm sitting in front of him with a kit given to him by his late master to maintain and improve his arm. After several minutes of tinkering with the apparatus he smiled briefly and put the tools his used away before grabbing a cloth from the kit to carefully and thoroughly clean his arm. After a few minutes of preforming this mundane yet essential task Daemon put the cloth back into the kit and placed said kit back into his satchel.

Alright now that that's done time for the painful part." He said soflty to himself as he gently patted Lunos's head to wake him up and told him to get off his head for a second unless he wanted to end up in the river.

Lunos whined a bit due to being woken up from his nap yet complied with the request and jumped from his perch to sit next to his master and friend. Daemon smiled and gently patted the pup's head before taking his metal arm and grits his teeth as he reattaches the arm into it's makeshift socket causing his head to lurch forward at the sheer amount of pain that surged through his body as the wires within the arm connected to his nerves.

With a deep growl Daemon slowly rose his head up and panted a tad while slowly flexing and rotating his arm to lessen the pain. This never gets any easier." He said to himself as Lunos gently jumps onto his other shoulder and nuzzled against his cheek in an attempt to help soothe his pain.

Daemon smiled once more and went to pet the pups head yet stopped when the scent of ink fluttered across his nose. It was odd he thought; humans tend to avoid coming out to this area and many of the others who knows he comes out here have vanished. Daemon being the ever curious one decided to step off the boulder that was his perch and told Lunos to hop on his head as he followed the scent to it's source.

Half way on his curious adventure Daemon's human nose had lost the scent due to the smell of multiple flowers around him. To rectify this he quickly shifted into his dire wolf form and zeroed in on the source of the scent once more and continued his quest to find the source of Ink. As the scent of ink reached it's zenith Daemon was standing in front of a strange girl. Her skin was light green and a spherical gem was placed on her forehead. In all of his years of traveling he had never seen anyone like her. Daemon sat down calmly as both he and Lunos looked at the girl with intrigue.

Where the Flowers Bloom [Open] Empty Re: Where the Flowers Bloom [Open]

Emerald remained underneath the beautiful willow tree, listening distantly to the sounds of the forest around her. It all felt so alive, so free. Unlike the city, this place was just so... organic. Natural. Free of disturbances. And yet so strange. In fact, on Emerald's homeworld, such a place didn't even exist. She came from a world that felt plastic, manufactured. A strict systemic caste system with no room for defects.

The spot she had picked was exceptionally beautiful. The willow tree sat at the edge of a small clearing, marking the entrance to the really woody parts of the forest. The clearing had several other deciduous trees scattered about, but more or less it was a very sunny location. Not to mention Emerald had decided to come to this place at early morning, when the sun was up, but it wasn't too hot to enjoy it.

She glanced up above her, admiring the leaves of the willow. Slowly, she'd reach a hand out, stroking the soft, fur-like surface. It felt like an animal. And watching the way it swayed on the breeze, as if dancing, made it feel like an animal, as well. She watched for a moment, admiring the scenic view of the leaves as they danced in the breeze, shielding her from the sun like a great guardian, watching over the fields.

And oh, the fields! Before her, in the wide open clearing, lay hundred of flowers. A wide assortment of pinks, yellows, purples, reds, and blues, most of which were a pastel color. She'd heard that apparently flowers were suppose to have a delicious smell. Curious, she gently plucked one from where she sat lifting it to her nose.

It certainly had a unique smell. She couldn't describe it, because she'd never smelled anything like it before. There were no flowers where she was from, so they had never needed a word for it. The best way she could describe it was.... soft and sweet. The perfect word to describe a flower, it seemed.

She placed the flower back down, looking back at the book in her lap. So many thinks to write about, so little time, she thought as she opened the book back to the page she had been writing on. Once she found it, she took out her pen, and continued to write.

Life here is so strange. It's nothing like Homeworld. Everything's organic. The plants themselves seem to live and breath as if they were animals. And the flowers, oh the flowers! They smell so sweet and feel so delicate! Such things would be crushed under the oppressive nature of Homeworld. But here... here they can live free....

Her writing would begin to trail off when she heard a noise. She'd absently place the pen in the fold of the book, looking up.

When she did, her breath caught in her throat. Staring back at her, several feet away, was a wolf. She had never actually seen such a creature, only heard about it. But from what she heard she was almost certain this was a wolf. As she looked it over hesitantly, she also noticed that a small, miniature dog was standing by its' side. What was that, and why did it appear so much smaller and softer than the wolf?

Hesitantly, she'd smile at the creature. She wasn't sure if it was friendly or not, but she wouldn't provoke it to be aggressive regardless.

"Why, hello there," she'd say, quietly closing her journal as she stared back at the two canines.

With a slight tilt of his head Daemon looks at the girl before doing something that would actually terrify humans.. he started to talk. "Hello." He said while holding up his left front paw in an attempt to shake her hand while Lunos jumped onto Daemon's head holding his left paw copying his master. My name is Daemon Spade and this little guy is my buddy Lunos. Say Hi buddy." The pup barked happily as it wagged it's tail.

After a few hours of casual talking Daemon considered the strange girl to be harmless enough to show her his human form. He asked her to sit by the tree and be ready for a surprise. Daemon instructed Lunos to sit next to the girl and keep her company as he walked away a bit as he body began to glow silver.

Daemon turned to the moon which could be barely made out in the sky and let out a brief howl as the light his body was emitting grew brighter and quickly enveloped his wolf form.

As the light died down Daemon's human form sat a few feet away from the young girl with a black with silver claw mark decorating the front with a crescent moon on the back. His hakama is a solid black with silver socks and shoes. His yellow eyes glowed slightly in the shade of the tree while he ave her a fanged smiled as he offered his automail clawed hand for her to shake as Lunos walked over to him and jumped back onto his perch on his skull.

(Bruh dun timeskip conversations unless I say so lol)

Emerald wasn't much scared of the strange wolf. She found it interesting, like most of the stuff she found in this world. It was refreshing to get a glimpse of something new. And the wolf especially didn't seem to have any ill intentions towards her once she realized it could speak. It would extend a paw, introducing itself as Daemon Spade. She smiled towards him, shaking his paw. So he was intelligent, then, and he could speak English. Perhaps another gem?

Back when she had been traveling with her friends, she had witnessed several of them able to shapeshift. She herself could do it too, but only in limited forms, and her form was quite large compared to this wolf. But she was just assuming things to believe he was a shapeshifter. But you could never tell with what Pandora threw at you.

"Oh, nice to meet you! To be honest, I didn't expect you to talk... my name's Emerald." she greeted in response. She chuckled at what the little pup did, trying to imitate the larger wolf.

After a bit of talking after their introductions, Daemon suddenly got up, and walked several feet away. The pup, meanwhile, walked over to Emerald, and she petted its head, wondering what Daemon was doing.

There was a sudden flash of light, causing the gem to shield her eyes, hissing. When it finally died down, she blinked her eyes several times, glancing over to see a humanoid figure in its place. He then approached her, offering a strange metal arm extended towards her to shake.

She took it happily, and said with wonder, "That was amazing! You wouldn't happen to be a gem?" she adding, asking with curiosity. She had, after all, never seen another shape changer.
