The Monastery : Of Wu and Wood

Grandmaster Fu long ago founded the school along side his friend, Pao. Once a prestigious academy that served gods, turned into a business when times fell rough. Practicing their traditions, they would keep a steady mind, and would survive most of the Great War untouched. Grandmaster Fu had made a deal with The Witch of The Woods, offering one of his students every year. .  . and he, would receive a student in return. Grandmaster Pao however, offered his teachings to keep the mind strong, tinkering with technology and the remains of an old war, left on his own pilgrimage to uncover his family's secrets. Pao left his recordings with Wu alone to keep the traditions alive, a tradition taught only to Bao, Jang, and Black Megan.

Wu, however, as the playboy he was, would eventually fall in love with the Witch, only to be revealed to be a Wood Elf of ages past, one of the few purebreds remaining. Upholding new traditions, and eventually breaking up with her due to the age gap they would implement their new techniques. In the last few years however, The Monastery had begun to diminish, surviving on winning of contest of entertainment, a great conflict of Fu's image for the school.

Modengay

Each member of the familit having their own division of "Crownsguard." A small handful of people who wear signets and representing pieces of other members of the family. Silverswords act as the commanding force of the entire Crownsguard, and are appointed, or choosen in equal numbers by each member of the family. Crownsguard that work for more than 5 members are referred to as "Harlequinguard" and often never leave the estate. They are rarely left as such and are often appointed to Silversword by their 3rd mark. Only one person in recorded history had obtained honorary Harlequinguard status, and declined the position of Silversword; Anthony Hawkins.

“Modengay’s Council of The Seven”

The Council of The Seven were the founders of a universal board of mages of great power in some shape or form. From mastering dangerous magics, to holding knowledge about the land. The original members of the Council were advisors to the Serac all over the country. The original founding members were: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Dawn. As time went on, each of the members took on pupils to take their seat in the council. Monday had taught Anxi’il. Tuesday taught Goramond. Wednesday taught Daiborah. Saturday taught Madeline. Dawn taught Rosanna. Friday still sits on the council, and Thursday did not produce a replacement and his seat had been later filled by Molakk Maal.Members of the council are often regarded by their ranks, or duties, with the universal title of “High Mages” or in the case of Madeline, “Great Arcanist(s)”

Molakk is the only member of the council to be of elvish decent, while the rest were/are human. Dawn being the only Dragonborn to be seated on the council.

"From the notes I've gathered, she was not a god born, but rather a god made. There might be some variation between communities, but the core teachings remain the same. Her older brother was a strong warrior, and had fought in nearly every battle for her people. Koh'Dah had always longed to prove herself beside her brother, but had been promised to be wed to a chief's son from another tribe. While she could not fight in battle, she gathered food and hunted for her people. her hunts a great display of her magnificent strength, some tales of wrestling a bear bare handed or a shark and bringing it back home for her people to eat. But her display of strength was off-putting to the other chief's son, and he did not wish to marry such a brutish woman. While this was pleasing to her to hear, as well she didn't want to marry in the first place, it begun to bring conflict.
Her sister would eventually convince her to allow herself to take the place of her bride, impersonating her. This new image of a refined woman pleasing the husband-to-be, and her sister would be married off in a form of alliance between the clans. Her sister would take her identity, and she would be left without a name. . . which is where I get a bit lost. Some of these tales record her as The Bride, while others seem to tell of The Warrior. Only one where it seemed to be one in the same. It seems that her sister is wronged and abused by the other clan and her sister goes to seek revenge by killing them, and proving herself in battle. She brings her trusty bow to snipe and kill the chief's son to free her sister, but is forced to cut off her own arm as it gets caught in a trap, depending on the version at least. She runs away with her sister, drawing her bow with one hand, pulling the string with her teeth. "
"She sails away with her sister, taking to the seas she had learned on hunts to quickly flee from them. At sea, a shark jumps upon the boat and she fights it back, protecting her sister, and losing her other arm in the process. Growing dizzy with blood loss, she falls overboard. Her sister trying to bring her back up, but being far weaker, is is unable, and is forced to release her sister. The story ends a dozen ways, with the sister dying at sea, freezing to death, cursing The Warrior for being far too weak. Some saying that it was The Bride who was eaten by the shark, only an armless woman to return home, a failed warrior and a useless hunter. Most often, the younger sister returns home, only to tell the story of her elder sister, a nameless warrior who massacred another village.  But the strangest is where the youngest sister is the one that fights the shark, and brings the body home, turning her bones into armor and a weapon and seeks vengeance on the rest of the clan.
It seems the lesson in the tale is either to convince young girls that they can be stronger than men, or to scare them from it. Or maybe don't let yourself be married off to a stranger?  Ether case, she's believed to be a protector, or a symbol of vengeance. Elliot a servant to the Blackthorn family south of the country. He's one of the few White Oak Ents still roaming around. While completely unaware of Yrsa's situation relating to the family that took his people in, he does have ties to the family. The family tied to Yrsa is none closer than his cousins at best.

Levisa belongs to the Dren family, and in following family stories and bloodline is first cousins to the princess. She is pretty blind to the horrors of the Serac, seeing them as heroes, and Grandmaster Wu as a great warrior, for his time under the Kung Masters. She's super excited to meet him for the first time and will pretty much do anything to be taught by him. She thinks by studying under a great martial artist, preforming in the tournament will get The Council to notice her, take her as a pupil, and she can meet her cousin and become a princess by heritage, if not in rule.

Named after their god that had given up her life for her clan, Koh'Dah carries a weapon that has the soul of the Original Koh'Dah locked within it.

Sister Nancy to reveal, counting just one too many souls upon meeting for the first time.

N-1609/N-1906, One of the first warforged made by the Deep Dwarves to be given free will. When it was known by others, eventually the research was celebrated, but soon feared by the High Elves, specifically the Drax family. They had marched upon the Dwarven society, killing most of the original craftsmen.

Only a few units were saved. S-1703, F-0069, Q-4207, N-1906 & N-1609. The few Warforged were saved by "Onoko of The Red Wind" an Aaracokra who had traveled to collect the documents. Through his travels he had tried to hide the truth of these warforged but had ultimately failed. Most of the others perished, being collected as scrap to be used to repair the others. Both N series Warforged units were mostly spared, having parts originally made for the others. In Onoko's last moments, he told them to find somewhere to hide. Both units decided it was in their best interest to split up. They exchanged their nameplates with each other, to never forget. One left to find their own way, while the other sat beside Onoko's corpse... only to be awakened eons later.

Onoko, the great grand uncle of Kung Pao, the Headmaster of the original Monastery. The master of faith and tradition.

She regularly tunes in to watch over him and his travels, mostly observing his notes for her own studies for her own schoolwork, as well as understanding mortals.

The story follows a girl named Alexis Ruby, a gravedigger for a prestigious Funeral Home family. With the pride of the family on her back, she takes honor in her duties, but finds herself followed by misfortune. She never actually buried a body until her first kill, her boyfriend. The rest of the story is her making unlikely friends and allies and cleaning up the messes left behind.
