Approaching the Sandy Gates [Sunagakure Recruitment]

Dressed in black leather armor - Nanashi was truly feeling the heat of the desert as he journeyed towards the famed Sunagakure. He had heard of "The Mother" who watched over all of her children in Sunagakure. A wise, strong woman named Akira inspired loyalty in all her people. That trait seemed admirable to the warrior mage as he journeyed across Pandora. His large black blade on his back. It wasn't long until he reached the gates.

The blade would be tied to his back with bandages. It would feed off him like another sword similar in shape, but the slender figure would not buckle under the weight. He would wander, patrolling the streets of the city. He had things to tend to, and most of the damages seemed to be taken care of. With magic and jitsu used to repair the village, they were all but perfect. There was still things to take care of.

And a large feline to feed.

Of course, with the recent attack upon the village the many elders were wondering the situation that lead to such a disaster happening. So, Akira's only agenda today would be meeting wuth the three elders to discuss what they wished to know and what they wanted to see of the giant feline that they were currently caring for. So, Akira had walked the short distance from her office to the meeting room, where each of the elders had large chairs and cushions to rest upon, while Akira would be forced to stand and discuss her case. Upon enterance the three would begin, "There she is." "Our savior strikes yet again.""Don't forget about young Tyko now." Akira would shake her head and laugh a bit before closing the door, "I do very much appreciate it, however this isn't about glory or fame,
Dearest Granparents." "Oh how modest." "Yes, very darling.""Just like dearest Tyko." Please, Grandparents. This is business we must acknowledge," she would say with a sigh and a shake of her head. Clearing his voice the eldest man would speak, "Yes, dear girl. Of course. Why was such a dangerous beast brought upon us?" "Well, you see. It was simply roaming when it was attacked. It was fearful. A small child had latched itself to her a-" "A mere child?! Ha! Well, that's hardly a threat at all! What a weak beast. I highly dount it has feelings of any sor-" "Clearly!
She is simply a monster! A mindless monster!" "But you see.. the girl had power so near to the felin-" "Ha! How weak!
The power of a child? Such a worthle-" "Yes, such a worthless beast." By this time, the small minds of the elders would begin to irritate Akira. How could they be this way after everything that has happened? Mere insolent minds. Turquoise eyes would remain closed as they chattered amongst themselves.

The young mage appeared to be in the right place he assumed. There was only one "Sand Village" after all. Well one filled with ninjas anyway. Stepping right outside the front gates the guards seemed to look at him funny. They armed themselves as they stared him down. They knew he wasn't from here. But such concerns were so trivial to a man like him. Truthfully he didn't hail from anywhere. Today was the day he'd like that to change. "Morning, people of the Sand. I've come here today to speak with your 'Mother'. My name is Nanashi...," he said with a grin.

He could feel the change of energy. He had no knowledge of the man, only of Matatabi. In the short time, he knew when she found something of interest, and whatever it was, it was curious and deserving of her attention. He could only guess it was harmless as she didn't attack whatever it was, she was sitting in wait.

As he would run to catch up with her, he would hear his voice.

"I thought it was just a few minutes short of noon . . . " he would say in answer, though he was unsure if he would be heard at all. Soon he would make his appearance in front of the man to the city paths. His blade still wrapped and on his back. Nothing could prepare him for the similarities he would soon face.

"Though, I'd have to ask the reason why." he would tell the man as he got closer, ". . . for reasons ya understand I'm sure."

After moments of listening to the chattering mouths and laughing elders, Akira would frown greatly before speaking a simple sentence, "Apparently, So was I." Her head would hang low as she thought about the many words the village used to speak about her simply because she was different in appearance. She remembered the many times she was beaten, bruised, and hurt, yet still she was always the one in trouble for antagonzing the other kids. The elders had stopped speaking and seemed to be in a sort of painful daze while looking straight at the woman, who they hadn't rcognized as the monster for such a long time. "N-Now now, daughter Akira, you know that those things were diff-""No. They aren't. We all know that. I was the monster once!" "And we were wrong.""Yes, clearly wrong.""Then, why don't you learn from your mistakes?" The elders seemed highly mortified that this girl would act in such a manner towards them, and speak in such an angered tone, except they knew she was right.

Perhaps, we can give it-""Her.""Yes, HER, a chance. All in favor of allowing the feline a chance?" The vote had been completely unanimous wnding with a smiling Akira and a smug look to her expressions. There was no way they could ever deny her fro she was far too intelligent for them, however they never actually seemed to mind for they trusted her far too much. They loved her as their own child and she loved the rst of the village as her own children. Their bond was strong and as long as it stayed that way, there would be far greater strength within their village than any enemy could withstand. "However, the moment she becomes a threat, you know what to do.""Certainly, but I trust her." The woman would walk away with a grin and a wave closing the door behind her. As she entered into the hallway, the woman would stop having full view of the vilage and the large feline outside near the gates. She seemed very fixated on something, however Akira felt no worry for she hadn't attacked. Nonetheess, the woman had become very curious and decided to journey her own way over there.
