Around Pandora in 30 Days [Malm]

Malm let out a yawn as he stretched a bit. It was early in the morning as he stood in line for a passport. He had hope that getting here early would mean that he get his passport early. Sadly, it seems that he wasn't the only one who thought that as he now was in the middle of a very long line.

"Told you we should have came here earlier?" He heard Mouse complain as she waited in line next to him.

"Yeah yeah. I know. I honestly didn't expect the line to be this long this early in the day." Malm admitted with a sigh, "At least it seems to be moving."

They moved up a little as the line allowed them. Malm could feel Phosphera's weight from shoulder to shoulder as Pichu looked at the crowd of people there. He could guess that this is probably a scary thing for the yellow mouse-like creature on his shoulder seeing how this is the first time she has seen so many people in a single place at once. Hopefully she won't end up freaking out.

"Malm. Are you sure you should of brought her here with us? You know how she gets in crowds." Mouse stated as she looked over at the Pichu on Malm's shoulder.

"Well what else was I suppose to do with her? I couldn't exactly leave her at your store all by herself. Besides, it'll be a good experience for her. She needs to get use to big crowds like this if she wants to travel with me." Malm explained as he scratch behind Phosphera's ears to much of the Pichu's enjoyment.

"Very well then. But don't expect me to help if she ends up running off." Mouse warned.

"Don't worry. She won't just run off. She is perfectly fine where she is. Right Phos?" Malm said, receiving a very happy chu from the Pichu whose ear he was scratching.

Mouse wasn't so easily convinced however. She knew how the yellow rodent got when it came to meeting a stranger who got to close to her. Phosphera may be fine now with Malm there to make her feel safe, but would she still feel like that in a closed room full of people? Well they would fine out here soon enough.

The line eventually got to the point where the pair finally got through the door to the Passport center. Just as Mouse had expected, the whole place seemed packed full of people hoping to get passports to the new kingdoms. Her eyes then glanced over to the Pichu on Malm's shoulder, and sure enough, the Pichu was beginning to hide herself with so many people near by. She was okay being outside as Malm was constantly comforting her, but this was now to much for her to handle. Seeing the small sparks that were starting to form on the rodents cheeks, Mouse decided it would be a good idea to warn Malm about it.

"Uhh... Malm. You may want to..." It was to late however as Malm found himself getting shock by the Pichu who then ran off in a panic. "Well you can't say I didn't warn you."

"Ouch. Phosphera what was that for?" Malm asked faintly as he slowly recovered from the shock. Noticing the lack of weight on his shoulder now quickly got him worried. "Phosphera?"

"She ran off that way. You should probably go get her before she causes any more trouble." Mouse informed Malm as she pointed him in the right direction.

"Really. Hey uhh... Mouse? Do you mind holding my spot for me?" Malm asked as he moved to find Phosphera.

"I already told you not to expect me to help when she runs off."

"Ugh... Fine. If that's how you want play it. If you hold my spot for me, I'll give you half of the reward for the next job I do." Malm offered in haste.

"Hmph... Now your talking my language. Make it three fourths and you'll have yourself a deal." Mouse counter offered with a smile.

"Really? Three Fourths? Ugh... Alright. Deal." Malm said before quickly going off to search for where Phosphera had ran off to.

"Phosphera? Where are you?" Malm called out as he searched for the young Pichu. However he couldn't hear replies with all the chatter going on, and could only continue his search, hoping to find her before she gets herself into trouble.

"Excuse me. Pardon me." Malm repeatedly said as he moved through the crowded room. His eyes scanning the ground for any signs to where the Pichu could have gone. Yet he could still not find anything.

Losing some hope, his attention was drawn to a nearby couple. "Uhh... Excuse me. Have either of you seen a yellow rodent like creature with pointed ears come by here?" He asked in hopes that they saw her.

"Oh... Yeah. I believe I saw something like that run to the corner over there." The young woman said before pointing Malm in the right direction.

"Ahh... Thank you very much." Malm said before heading off where she told them. He was in luck, as when he finally was able to get through the crowd, he saw Phosphera had hidden herself by a plant in the darken corner of the room.

"Phosphera! There you are. You had me so worried?" Malm said as he crouched down over by the Pichu. He could see that Phosphera was shivering. Obviously frightened by all the people in this room. Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea after all.

"Here Phos." Malm said as he took off his backpack and presented it to Phosphera, "You can go ahead and hide in here if you like. Away from all of this chaos. And I promise you that we'll get out of here as soon as we are done with our business here. How does that sound?"

Phosphera just looked at him for a second, then looked at the backpack. The thought seemed to work for her as she then immediately took the opportunity to hide in his bag. Sighing with some relief, Malm put his backpack back on as he stood up. He was happy that Phosphera agreed with that as the only other thing he could think of at the time was just leave the building altogether, which he greatly preferred not to do.

After some time, he made it back to where Mouse was waiting. It took awhile as the line seemed to have moved quite a bit during his search, but it didn't prove difficult to find the Mimiga in the crowd.

"Ah... There you are. What took you so long? Did you find her?" She asked as she spotted him.

"Yeah. It was hard to find her in this place, but I did. She's in my backpack right now." Malm replied as he motioned towards backpack.

"Good then. The last thing I wanted was to hear you whining on and on about how worried you are for her." Mouse stated as she took a step back, "As promised, here's your spot. And don't expect me to forget your side of the promise."

Malm sighed as he took his spot mumbling something along the lines of, "Of course not. You'll be lording this over my head for days to come."

"What was that?" Mouse suddenly asked, having heard every word he said.

"Nothing."

It took a while, but they eventually made it to the front of the line without any more incidents. Once they both had gotten their passports and left, Malm sighed. "I hope we never we have to do that again."

"Agreed. Yet if we had gone when I said we should of, we wouldn't have had the need to go through all that." Mouse mentioned yet again.

"Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. I know." Malm responded, tired of that speech, "Let's just go find something to eat. I'm starving, and I'm sure Phos is to."

"Sure. I could do with some food as well. Where too?"

And so the two set off to find somewhere to get some food.
