Job Description:

Slowly approaching the travelling agency Ethan was in a surprisingly good mood today. Havin learned that he required nothing but a passport to explore those lands he's heard so much about was quite exhilarating. He was more than willing to stand in line for the chance of broadening his travelling options. So he did just that, he took his place in the very back of the line waiting patiently.

After a while he reaalized he wasn't the only who had heard of this and kept seeing people walk away in the opposite direction, with a passport for that matter. Curiously; the line hadn't moved an inch since he came but people kept walking out with passports. No one but him seemed to notice it and he figured he might be imagining it. He shrugged and resumed his standing line, looking a bit too determined than what's deemed neccesary in a line

Once again nothing happened at all. The line still hadn't moved after several minutes. Ethan was starting to get annoyed and tried looking more closely at what might be happening up ahead. He stared at the line in front of him, even more people passing him by with every second. He started to grow susoicious of what was happening ahead of him and left his spot to investigate, the ones behind him pretty much tackling the man that had stood before him in desperation to get anywhere. He walked further ahead, set on finding out just what was going on.

He certainly didn't expect what he found. As he went on a bit he noticed that every time the line move a bit someone would cut right in to flll the spot; leaving the line immoblie for the most further behind in line. He stared in astonishment as people almost methodically cut in line, making sure the line never shrunk in size.

Ethan was honestly astounded by this display. Was he honestly the only one seeing this? All these people and no one seemed to notice this ridiculous situation? Did everyone in the line just happen to be this stupid by pure chance? If he hadn't come along they could've stayed here all day. While he hadn't done anything yet he was sure as anything going to. Yet another man, this time a scrawny looking blonde appeared and cut in line clear as day, people actually parting to let him in. He had had enough by now and approached the man. "Excuse me, I think you just cut in line" The man looked over to him with an annoyed look and then just suddenly spit right on Ethan's coat. The man's saliva coloured with a sickly yellow by whatever he had out in his mouth earlier. Ethan simply tried to brush it off with his hands, not saying a word for now.

The man had turned his gaze back to the office by now, ignoring Ethan. Ethan himself had done his best to clean his coat of the filthy man's spit and suddenly grabbed the man by his shirt. "You listen to me you filthy bastard!" The man having suddenly been pulled upwards widened his eyes in surprise and stared intensely at Ethan. "Obviously you're not familiar with the concept of a line....." He kept him in a firm grip, the entire line turning to stare at the scene. "Why don't you at least try and ACT like decent human being and get in the back of the line...!" The man nodded quietly, still in shock from the recent turn of events. Ethan then let him go, the man taking his chance and running towards the back of the line. Ethan then spun around, still with a stern look on his face. "That goes for all of you!"

As Ethan had made his point clear those who would have cut the line found it in their best interest to get in the back of the line. Ethan was pleased at the sudden change in attitude and was about to stand in line himself until those in the front waved him over and stepped to the aside, pointing inwards. He figured they wanted him to go ahead and was granted by grateful nods as he passed by them. He figured this must happen a lot. As for why no one complained was beyond him. He entered the building and didn't even have to speak up as he was suddenly handed the required forms for getting his pass. He was pointed to a small desk and filled them out properly, then after handing it in he was given a complete ass within a few seconds afterwards. He was quite astounded but wouldn't question it for now and stepped outside once more, looking at his pass with a please smile. Then he saw yet another person trying to cut in line, despite being adviced against it by the people in the line. Ethan simply grabbed his neck and pulled him alongst the line, the man practically choking on his own collar. "Let me show you to your spot sir"

Well, I guess some people just don't get it.
