[Solo Job] Dog-Sitting~!

So this was his house, huh?

Admittedly, it was a rather nice home on the outside, tall bushes and shrubs lining the rather short path to his door. The owner had already left, but left her with the keys to the home and a few treats for their dog, George.

At least, that's what she hoped it's name was.

With a small shrug, Skylar ascended the three stairs to the front door, inserted the key to unlock the door and, with a quick shove, opened the door.

Instantly, Skylar was met by a rather heavy dog hitting her chest as it all but fell off the box that it was sitting on- almost knocking her over and straight back out the door! With a laugh of her own, she quickly pushed herself to her knees and ushered the dog back inside.

It was a rather beautiful dog, something that reminded her of a border collie, especially how it's eyes gleamed with intelligence. Shutting the door behind herself and locking it rather quickly, she wandered through the home, humming as the dog whimpered and barked at her.

Eventually, the nipping became too much for Skylar and, as she made it to what she assumed was the play room, she turned to face it. She crouched a little, leaning forward and bracing herself on her knees, half glaring at the poor dog...

A smile broke on her face as she moved a hand, gently shutting the dogs muzzle and playfully shaking it from side to side.

"Is this what you want, hey buddy?"

The reaction from the dog was instant.

Right away, its frustrated whimpers and nipping at her feet became proper growls of playfulness, trying to break free from her grip around its muzzle. Eventually, Skylar let it go, and the dog took a few steps back, watching her closely as it's fluffy tail wagged side to side.

Pretending not to notice it's keen eyes, Skylar stood back up a little straighter, stepping forward to get out of the dogs lunging range.

But the poor playful puppy surely wasn't going to have its play mate just suddenly ditch it!

The instant Skylar had made a move, the dog playfully jumped forward once again. A happy growl came from it before its teeth latched onto her feathery outfit, biting down on the delicate-looking feathers rather firmly. With a cry of annoyance, Skylar pulled the feathered arms away from the dog. . .

She saw the crestfallen look in the dogs eyes, the tail between its legs as it slunk away from her and to its bed, heartbroken that its play mate didn't want to play with it anymore.

With an aggravated sigh, Skylar shook her head.

She couldn't let the dog not have fun while she was looking after it, right?

Reaching into the bag that she had been holding fast to in her spare hand, she made her way over to the dog. The dog's ears pricked up when it could smell what was coming from the open bag of goodies. With a smile, Skylar spoke to the dog again.

"Come on then buddy, have some to eat before I sit on you and force you to eat them."

Nope. The dog didn't move. Not even to get up and eat the treats.

Apparently the feathery bird lady was too scary for it now, seeming she had scolded him for biting her 'wings'.

With a frustrated sigh, Skylar made her way over to the dog, before angrily resting her hands on her hips, glaring down at the poor dog.

"You really aren't going to make this easy on me, are you, little pup?" Skylar asked, heaving another heavy sigh.

The dog didn't answer her. Skylar threw her hands up into the air and the bag of treats onto the box above the dog's bed.

"Fine, I'll just have to sit on you won't I?" She asked, but, again, the dog being unable to speak, just stared at her like she had grown an additional head. And just. Stared at her.

In all honesty, Skylar had no idea how long she had been glaring at the dog, only to have it just blankly stare back at her, the two coming to an ultimate standstill.

"Well, you asked for it!"

Suddenly, Skylar was moving again, quickly closing the distance before she downright did just sit on that poor dog, legs either side of it as she glared at the top of its muzzle. Submissively, the dog raised its head, pressing it against her stomach and tried to lick her, eyes almost wide with uncertainty of the person with delicious feathers suddenly sitting on it.

Feeling rather guilty, Skylar grabbed the bag of treats and presented it to the dog- who without any grace at all, just ate the whole packet. All Skylar could do was laugh as the dog she sat on attempted to eat them with a fully grown human just...

Sitting there. Right on their back.

A knock on the door sounded some time after Skylar had been sitting on the dog, who had decided that Skylar wasn't so bad and actually fell asleep with her on it.

Awkwardly and quickly getting up, she made her way to the front, giving a smile to the owner as they returned. After seeing that their dog was well taken care of- or so he thought, he quickly paid Skylar before she made her way out.

But he was rather surprised... For some reason, his dog, for the rest of their days, refused to bite at his heels anymore...

And was deathly afraid of feathered creatures.
