A large beast sits in the center of a long forgotten city. Not a single sound can be heard besides the creature's constant breathing. The beat echoes... Gyuki sits peacefully, waiting, curious to see who will come. He is bored, and would like to have a toy to play with. [Event Sign-Ups] Anyone may post. For extra rewards, be sure to sign up for an alliance for this event!

NOTE: By default, no user can die. It is only by the user's choice, that their death can be enabled for this thread. All participants will receive a reward based on their alliance for completing the thread in their favor. By enabling their own death, they have a chance to win additional rewards.

Alexandria had arrived in the long forgotten city of Fujima. It was desolate and devoid of sound except for the sound of her heels tapping the ground as she walked, heading towards the center. As she got closer to the center of this place, her acute sense of hearing picked up on what sounded like breathing and it certainly did not sound like it was coming from a human or anything close to one. It had to be Gyuki, the tailed beast that Yama had tasked her with seeking out. Maybe if it were intelligent, she could reason with it to come over to their alliance's side. Of course, she wouldn't dare reveal the true purpose for wanting Gyuki to join them. Surely, that would cause the beast to go on the defensive. Alexandria was no fool. As she came upon the creature, she approached slowly. Giving off a projected peaceful energy as to hide her true intentions. She hoped this would be enough to fool it. She stopped a few feet away from the great creature and looked up at him before doing a graceful courtsy. "Oh great Gyuki, I am here on behalf of the Yama's young alliance. We wish for you to join us for we will offer protection from other alliances that wish to do you harm. Will you please allow my fellow comrades and I to prove to you we mean you no harm?" hopefully, he would believe in Alexandria's words. Otherwise, she may have quite the predicament on her hands.

He would follow that girl in the shadow of herself. He was quiet, but not silent. The constant patting sound of the cloth of his scarf hitting his jacket was audible as he too neared the beast.

He knew very well of how the other beasts were captured. They were all beaten, tied and held doen for Yama to collect. But today he would watch the girl attempt to persuade the beast to follow without a fight.

He laughed at the thought of it, his giggle could be heard by all around them. He could only watch and wait to see how it would play out. But if they failed, he would kill everyone in his path.

It was the money that he was interested in.

You;d think I'd serve Yama's rule? he spoke looking down at her. His fists slammed into the ground in anger. "Then you think I am a fool." He spoke in rhyme, just as his late friend did with him. But the matter of this war wasn't really his concern. He found his own place to rest, and as time would show, it would find its way to him eventually. He waited, however, watching to see their movements. He knew that some of the humans and other mortals attacked the Bijuu in acts of disgust, rage, or capture . . . namely for the god Yama. He would look down at the two being before him. One more pitiful than the last. He wanted to find a reason to squash them both. Perhaps he could have them serve himself instead. But he would find the best of it. Surely there was something to be known.

Nanashi had been searching for one of these creatures for quite some time. These monsters the deity spoke of that threatened the land of Pandora. He was ready to fight them, to test his powers and for the glory of fighting such worthy foes. He trailed behind the others who he could tell wished to capture it. He listened to their words as they foolishly tried to trick the beast. It knew better. "The only way to capture it would be to weaken it first... these creatures are far more knowledgeable than you may think, girl," he said with a smirk.

His blade hungered for them all, but for now he was willing to work with them. This beast was a powerful one he had been told...

He watched as the beast lay dormant, yet angry at the girl. She was foolish no doubt, and in a moment she would vanish, disappearing from sight. Who was to say where she had gone. Everything was temporary in this world.

"Who shall fell to me..." he would ask himself. Was it worth risking his life, or was there a better reward for him somewhere.

In a flash, the arrogant girl would vanish in a beam of light. He was pleasured with the thought of her untimely death, but perhaps it was only for a moment. For now, he stared at two men. He spoke not a word to them, waiting to see their position in this world. He would wait for them to speak, and if it was willing, perhaps he would make a deal with them for his own peace and quiet. For now, he was to observe. He would kill a mortal in his path for the amusement of himself. These humans were nothing different.

Nanashi had to admit. The idea of fighting a massive creature intrigued him, and he had obligations to fulfill... but he remembered what Anubis said. They were beasts. They were Titans. This creature seemed like neither. Perhaps it did not qualify? It was far too calm. Slinging the ancient, cursed weapon over his back as he floated above the other person into the air slowly with magic....

He spoke to it. "Hello, strange creature. I am Nanashi. I am curious - why does a God wish for your death?" He was after all curious. "You were said to be a beast, and yet you don't seem to fit the description."

*Ascendance- Nanashi can hover up to 5m in the air with his magic. Traveling at a slow walking pace*

"A fool is this man." he would reach out, above him, grabbing the foot of the man.

"Again you bring words to this, as if there's a choice." he scowled at the man. He seemed just as foolish as the woman. "Your god is a fool who wants power. Mine is but a woman with a lust for riches." his face would twist as he would try to hold the man down.

"We will both fail if we speak our tongues." Doctor was more than disgusted by humans at this point. He was beyond his curiosity. He only wanted his subject to make it out.

"Even in my final hour," Gyuki spoke to the man, "That jackal will always fear my power." "Count my tails, and you'll see that I ain't no man's property." he smiled as he watched the man grab the footing of the one who called himself Nanashi. He was wise enough to give his own name, even if it was meaningless. He wanted to see what chaos would unravel with the two of their bickering. Perhaps their alliances would change, or perhaps they would strengthen. Who were they and what did they really come for? They were both too weak to take Gyuki down. So what were they trying to do?

Ticking off Nanashi was this foolish's mans worst mistake. By grabbing the warrior mage he had focused his attention on him. Wielding a cursed blade, as well as a dark magic left Nanashi constantly restrained, struggling to remain in control of himself. "Kill him...!" the blade cried. And for once - he was okay with that. He kicked backward into the man's face- hopefully knocking him off of him with his other foot and onto his ass just a few feet away.  

"Hell's wrath...," he chanted softly to himself in the form of a whisper as he hovered in mid-air with his arms at his sides, rotating to face his challenger as he did so. There was no warning - no stopping the death energy to come. The Professor would find himself enveloped in a poisonous aura emanating from the warrior's body.

It was cold, dark. It was if Nanashi was showing him hell itself. An unspeakable sensation that would last for but a few moments. The words of Gyuki resonated with Nanashi. He believed the beast. And if this professor was right - he wasn't going to be a puppet for some dumb god's agenda.

"That wasn't the agreement!" he growled. He didn't like being used for stupid schemes. There was no glory in this. No honor.

He would kill monsters that threatened the realm, but he would protect the ones who lived here in peace. If the Professor was foolish enough to continue to oppose him... then there would be hell to pay.

With this spell Nanashi channels the Death Element energy of the Fifth Dimension and chants the name of the spell. Once he does a field of this poisonous energy will spread out from his body for five meters in every direction. Strengths:
- Deals 1 D rank damage if it hits
- Range of five meters with user as the center
- spell expands at 5 m/s
- If one is hit by this spell their life force can be poisoned by the Fifth Dimension (see Abilities: Dark Siphon for more details)
Weaknesses:
-Requires a chant to activate
-Only spell that can be activated during the turn it is used
-Only works on those within close range
-Death/Poison Slayers can eat this spell
- Those with Life Element as their Primary are immune to the Dark Siphon ability.

Standing behind a nearby tree away from the madness of the two men apparently fighting now over some form of bickering issue  as the large beasts voice echoed causing Eric to cringe as he spoke only standing there in awe at the massive size this monster was. "these are the things we were called on to protect?...amazing..."

"You will die a fool." He would hiss at the man as his foot pressed against his face. The spell itself would knock him backwards, but he would not lose his footing. He would enjoy watching him getting buried alive by a creature he knew nothing about. All he had to do was say a single wrong word, or make one simple gesture.

The impact of the man's attack would be enough for him to get the point the man had made. He would not stop him again. For now, he was on his own. Even so, he knew where his alliance lay. He would wait to benefit from his own actions before he killed the man.

He would scoff at the aggressive man. He was surely a hothead and had a deathwish. He could hear every word, be it whisper or shout. Before him was mortals that he could end with the flick of his finger. Did they not know the stories? "They are fools of the like." Gyuki thought to himself. Surely they would kill each other in a moment's notice. Perhaps he would have found it amusing if it was the other way around. For now, he would let them fight among themselves. Perhaps it would deter others from disturbing his peace.

Nanashi's anger was not something you wanted to poke at or wrought on yourself. When he was angry - he became quite merciless in battle. Right now he didn't care about the bijuu he now wished to protect. Taking out his coin from his pocket - he briefly recalled the Red-Haired Knight he stole this from before killing him. Lame requip magic did nothing to stop his blade from cleaving the knight in two, all of his possessions becoming Nanashi's own including a strange coin. Nanashi learned in his travels that it was the coin of the turtle hermit, and now he was going to channel its power.

He could feel its power coursing through him - the knowledge of a new skill manifesting itself into him. The power of the Turtle Hermit now was his, and he'd use this knowledge to protect the Eight Tailed Bijuu. "If you want to capture the eight tailed beast, you'll need me dead at your feet," he chuckled to himself. He was canceling his alignment with the Jackal. He didn't very much like torturing or killing other beings, unless it was for the protection of life. There was no glory in this battle, and so he would not have it.

"I recommend you seek your prize elsewhere. Surely you know you haven't a chance in hell against me by yourself," he said with stone cold eyes as his feet lightly touched the ground. He always fought better on his feet after all.

And he'd kill if he had too.

(Also not sure if you remembered by Dark Siphon steals 3% of his health if he hasn't already felt it.)

"You're a fool to think anyone could reason with him." he would bark back, but his words would fall short, he was sure. He would give the man his space for the time being. He didn't want to be near when Gyuki decided to kill the man. He would enjoy watching the destruction.

He had to think of a plan to get the beast to come willingly. Perhaps the girl had been on the right track all along.

"You're both morons." he would speak as he neared the masked man, or what seemed to be a mask on a man. He had been watching from the sidelines for far too long. He knew what it was about. He worked for the highest bidder, like always. Yama promised all of her subordinates with great fortune. Oji just had to capture one beast and his life would be set. His tablet was delivered long ago, and his fortune would take weeks to reach him. Until then, he needed a backup plan just in case.

"He wants us to fight." he would speak, clenching his fists. He was ready to fight if needed. His sword sat on his back, ready to be drawn. He only hoped it wouldn't come to that.

Amused, he would remain silent. He would listen to them as he would begin to close his eyes. There was no doubt that they would be trouble for him soon enough, but none of them, nor the strength of them combined would be anything for him to worry about. They were simpletons at best. Some decorated, some with high aspirations. But even he knew that the smallest of fly could disturb a sleeping tiger. Sometimes it was not about the raw power, but the strength in mind to use their enemy against themselves. He would have to wait to see all of the pieces of this game board to show their true intent and power. Some would be useful. Others would not.

72 Hour warning to @Don Quixote

Nanashi said nothing as the fools were clearly adamant to still stand in his way. If they got past him and disturbed the tailed beast and incurred his wrath - then they would all be in trouble. He knew he was going to have to feed them to his blade. Disappearing from sight with a shadowy cloud - Nanashi appeared in front of the professor. He pushed out his fist- straight punching the man with all of his might. If it hit it would send the man flying back a few extra meters. He just needed to push them back and away from the Manor. Away from Gyuki. He could not use his full powers until they were far enough away that the collateral would not piss off the Eight Tailed Beast. So he knew what he needed too...

They shall not pass.

With this spell Nanashi transmits his soul and his corporeal body through his dimension - allowing him to teleport in a straight line for any location he sees within the spell's range. At this level he can teleport farther and faster.
Strengths:
- Can teleport in a straight line
- Range of ten meters
- Teleport speed is 10 m/s
- Can make a physical attack right after teleporting (punch, kick, etc.).
Weaknesses:
- Limited to a straight line; can't teleport in a direction the user is not facing.
- Can't use other spells on the turn this spell is used
- Can't attack with a weapon during the turn this spell is used
- Teleportation leaves a shadowy cloud after he warps which looks like a fart cloud (and also visually cues opponents that he's teleported)
- If user launches a physical attack it does no damage to magical or item-based defenses (and could potentially hurt depending on the scenario)
- Can't teleport others with him or others in general.

He felt nothing as the man would punch him. He would brace himself to remain standing. He would do nothing but smile in the face of the beast, and he didn't mean Gyuki.

"Kill me then." he would say laughing, "You'll be marked for death. I'm just a pawn in the scheme of things." He would press forward, either pushing the man's hand with his chest, or with a step towards him. "I won't even fight you. You aren't worth the effort. I'll come back from Pandecim as I did before."

He would begin to laugh uncontrollably. "What are you waiting for?"
