He would immediately take up his sword in his hands, but he too would not move from his place. He would hold the blade between he and the others. It would stand tall as a tower as he awaited orders to advance the man. He would make no hesitation to complete his mission. He had plans and he needed to do what he needed to do.

"If they don't kill me. Gyuki surely will." he would say to himself.

He hoped it wouldn't come to that.

He would begin to rest, his mind slipping away. All he wanted was silence. He would let the mortals figure the truth among themselves. If they so much as disturbed him, he would smite them all. He would begin to take deeper and deeper breaths. His mind would make the world go dark. The world would be more and more quiet. The ants before him would disappear. He was tired of war, and asked no more than peace. But this was his own trial.

Nanashi said nothing at the man's words. He was clearly insane. The warrior simply without hesitation reached for his zanbato - slamming it down to cut the professor down the middle with ferocity and quickness he could not hope to match. Nanashi was tired of his voice, tired of his ego and his snark. He just wanted him gone.

He had enough annoying voices to deal with in his life. The other would fall as well if he dared to get in his way.  He was no hero. But he would kill the monsters that did not belong, and protect the ones that did. He didn't care how bloody he had to be to do it. For that was the way of those who wielded the cursed blade and magics.

Shikyo is a Zanbato that Soul Edge has copied that Nanashi has mastered and usually enjoys using. It's a Black Zanbato with a unique curve line on one of the sides with a one foot hilt and a crossguard to protect the users hand. It's large shape and weight is used best for sheer power swings as opposed to the swift combos of something such as a katana.

- It's weight makes its momentum harder to stop once swung

Weaknesses:
- The Zanbato itself has a durability of 15 weak hits/4 D rank spell hits
- Its weight makes it hard to swing. Ergo he can only swing it once per post/turn.
- It's made of metal and thus could be eaten by a metal slayer.
- Requires a good level of strength to wield due to its weight. Requires both hands for Nanashi.

So did ring the Samurai's armor with each step that he took into the manor - approaching the battlefield. In eras long past he was a warrior sent to slay Demons and monsters. It had been his duty to kill and protect the lands with his sword and his will alone. Sadly- he had failed in his quest then. He had failed to do the thing that had been expected of him.

But today would not be that day. Ronin had no other name, other purpose but to redeem himself and his honor. He would not be stopped. Not even by the cursed man. By the bounty hunter looking for a quick buck. He was unstoppable.

For no one's purpose was greater than his here today.

The blade would slice through the fabric of both his clothing and his being, but his will would not be broken. His smile remained on his face. His face would hold a bloodied scar and his chest would begin to tear at the material that seemed to mimic skin.

He was far from human. He understood death in this world. If not in his own body, he would come back born anew. Everything was tied to each other. And with his heart begining to slow its beat, he would call upon one of the darkest souls of Pandora. . .

Or should he call to someone close to the man?

He swore he wouldn't get involved again, but he also swore he was going to stop drinking, yet here he was, looking for sake.

But instead, he left the abandoned bar, drink in hand. watching a man all too familiar in the distance. Aku wasn't a fool. He knew Gyuki was outside, but he preferred to do things while drunk. But watching the blood only filled him with rage. How could they fight so foolishly?

"Fucking WORMS!" He would yell, the bottle falling to the ground as his wrists slammed into each other. An aura would engulf him as his palms faced them both . . . no. That wasn't his goal.

He would cast a large blast from his palms. It wasn't enough to kill anyone, he was sure of it. He knew that. But the force was enough to knock them a ways back.

But it wasn't heading for them.

It was heading for the octopus.

Ability: Those who have received Seiryu's power earned the ability to use his draconic soul.

"I hope Xia finds her mother." his last thoughts would be in his mind as he ran towards the men, sure of his own demise. Sword in hand, he would swing it horizontally, as if to cut down both the Professor and his assailant. He had to do something.

But as he would run, the thought of death puzzled him. He said he had died before? Perhaps if this was the end, he could find salvation afterwards. With that in mind, his fear quick faded.

"For the Chikai!" he would yell as he would attack them both. He had to stop it.

Sword

Again, his mind would drift away as the mortals continued to fight. He would slumber, only to be disrupted by a sky-crystal. From it, a man would seem to attack it, the crystal being destroyed and a girl being thrown from the destruction. Gyuki was no fool. Even he knew of her importance. He would begin to move towards them all, reaching out to the girl with one of his tails. He could not allow her to fall into the hands of fools. Besides, even beast's have wishes.

Nanashi smiled as more and more showed up - his blood boiling as excitement tingled across his body. He loved a good fight. It would be fun to see them all struggle and fail to best him. He cut down the crazed man deeply down his body, and yet still he was okay. Still he continued to resist him. The man's endurance was indeed noteworthy. Another man came toward them hoping to take advantage of their squabble and cut into both of them like butter - and in a way he did indeed cut into Nanashi. But the man would notice his sword didn't feel any resistance as he cut into the lad - his body ethereal and transparent.

It was as if he wasn't even really there...

Out of respect for the man who made his blade - the Samurai opted not to attack the Wanderer despite his treachery. If he got in his way though - the Ronin could not promise he would not retaliate. Running through the manor toward the eight tails - past the three who fought (now down to two) - he prepared himself for what was to come.

The Monster Would Die.

The man would fall, his life ending in a swift slice. It would cut threw the man as if he was a ghost.

"It's like a substitution jitsu." he thought to himself. It wasn't something he didn't know about. He would simply carry the motion, caring not about the man and readying his blade to set upon the man again, a second time as he would stand there. The second he moved, the weapon would crash into him.

But still, he wondered of the woman that lay so far from them. What was her story?

Alas, it was his fate that the world would change when his mind did. As he tried to land an attack, the world would throw a woman in his way. Pitiful.

"I'LL KILL HER." he would speak. He knew what she was. How dare she come at a time like this. He would begin to run at the ghost man. His anger at the beast could not be compared to the man who allowed the professor to fall so easily. He knew he could bring him back, but he was going to torture the man. Then he could go back to the ritual.

But as it were.

The man would have a deathwish, and it wasn't Aku.

A head would begin to roll upon the floor as the tiny humans made their choices. It was apparent who fought for who, with who, and for what reason. One man stood nonphysical, fighting for knowledge of what was right. Another fell for his pride was worth more than his life. A red haired man fought for a friend he lost, even if they did not agree. Another man fought to fight for his own purpose that he had forgotten, And the last was a man who was foolish enough to challenge a beast. Gyuki raised his hand, along with his tails. As the small ronin would near, several limbs would be ready to smash the man into a single pancake. When he was in range, his open palm would pin him to the ground, his tails would follow behind, putting more pressure on his hand, as well as around him. He would not give the man a fighting chance.

He would simply carry the motion, caring not about the man and readying his blade to set upon the man again, a second time as he would stand there. The second he moved, the weapon would crash into him.

OOC: I find that just a tad autohitty Kas. Traditionally when you strike a blade you can't just strike again unless you prepared the second slash ahead of time. There would be a slight delay as they make the second motion, and as such I'm countering that motion with my blade.

Nanashi grinned at the death of the Professor - and he didn't even have to strike the final blow. Swinging his blade at the aftermath of the fat man's first strike - his body corporeal once more - Nanashi would sunder the man's blade as it motioned back toward him- breaking it into two with the mighty zanbato. It's weight would not be easily stopped by the fat man - and the pathetic weapon would be nothing to the cursed blade he wielded. It was why he put up with its haunting voice after all.

The fat man swordless would find himself no match for Nanashi. Perhaps without his weapon he would realize this... And leave the wanderer to face the strange hulk running toward him.

In a matter of seconds, his own tool for justice would be broken. The sword would snap, leaving him with a dagger of his sword. The end would break and be tossed aside, useless in his skirmish. He had to do something. He needed to do something.

He would reach back with his broken sword and thrust forward, as if to stab the man. He had to do something. Even if he died here, he needed to die knowing he contributed with his life. Without a single scratch on the man, his own suffering would be worthless. His soul would be sure to be absorbed in the void of Pandecim. Professor would greet him there. He could only hope that there was another life waiting.

"Just bleed..." he thought to himself.

A single drop would suffice.

And so it was not the Ronin's day - getting smashed and crushed underneath the pressure of the Tailed Beast. Once again he had failed to overcome his foe. He thought this would be his day.

So was his shame when he found it was not.

The large mass of a man would charge at Nanashi. He leap upwards when he neared within a meter, his arm would be wound up, waiting to spring forward. His right fist would find its mark to the man's face if his fate allowed it. But if he would fail. he would suffice to tackling the man to the ground and pinning him to the earth. His fists would fly downward to the man's face.

And if the fat man got in the way, he would die as well.

He had no patience for these worms. The would perish.

her soul could feel and sense the conflict that gathered around her body. She was not sure if she had brought the warfare, or simply landed within it. But she felt obligated to do something, even if she could not see, hear, or touch. She could sense the energy in the air around her. She would pick a single soul to rise up and aid in the end of this scuffle. She needed to help someone, for better or for  worse. "Rise above, my warrior." her voice would be heard to him alone. "Strike down those that oppose you." And she would wait again, the last of her conscious power gone. All she could do was wait and see.
