What about who? (D-rank Mission) [Solo/Aloura]

Sitting down, Aloura looked at the man before her. Currently asleep, Aloura was confused. Why did she need to be paid to baby sit this man? All he did was sleep. She was tempted to sleep. "Sleep..." She muttered to herself, taking in a deep breath, and hoping she could stay awake. The clients had left just a few minutes ago, and already Aloura wanted them to come back. But of course, they wouldn't. She didn't doubt that they would come back at all, she just doubted they would come back any time soon. 

If only curing amnesia was a simple task... the girl sighed once again, awaiting for the man to either wake up, or for herself to pass out form boredom. She was only a few days old, she wasn't used to having to stay awake.

Alouras eye's jolted open. She looked around, scratching the back of her head. The sun had begun to fall down and the room around her seemed darkened. "Light..." the girl spoke, standing up and walking over towards a light switch. She needed to keep an eye on her target. Her clients said that he might be a hand full, and Aloura couldn't have him causing trouble. 

As the lights flickered on, Aloura shook her head in unapproved. "Oh... darn..." She muttered, tucking her head into her chest and poking her pushing fingers together. 

He was gone. 

Aloura looked up, then back down, and then sighed. It was time to move around, and look.

The house wasn't that big, meaning there weren't very many places that ALoura had to check in order to find the man. Of course, that also is assuming that he was in the house. 

After checking the wardrobe, the closets, the bed rooms, the bathroom, and the kitchen, she had established that he was no where to be found inside the confines of the house. "Where could he be..." she asked herself. If only papa was here, still with her. If only he hadn't left her behind after leaving her in the care of her brother, Greed-sama. 


"I miss him..." She spoke, her voice still as monotoned as ever. She looked around, and slugged towards the back door, it was open.

Both luckily, and unluckily for her, the house was in the middle of the woods. It was lucky because she had a rare, almost extinct gift. She was a god slayer, and not just any god slayer, the one and only Forest god slayer. In the woods, she had the advantage. But sadly, it is not as if she could hear the trees speaking to her. That man, Greg, could be anywhere. 

Taking a deep breath, Aloura leaped into action. If he was in the trees, he was be rooted to the ground once he got into her range due to her rooting ability. Although, that was just a guess. She wasn't experienced with her abilities yet, and for all she knew, that wasn't how it worked. Worst comes to worst, she would have to use her enhanced strength to smash a few trees down.

Aloura had done just that. Smashing a few trees to the ground, however, was getting her nowhere. She let out a mighty war, hoping to scare him, or intimidate him, into coming out and showing himself. Raising her fist, she jammed it into another small tree, causing it to hit the ground with the crash. The tree branched rustled and birds tried to fly away, but alas, they were rooted to the ground. 

Looking around, Aloura began to look for traces of the boy. Traces like foot prints. Walking closer to an indent in the ground, Aloura began to discover a pattern in them. "He's running away..." She spoke, looking off into the direction of the foot prints, and seeing how the woods got thicker and thicker the further down she looked. 

"I should get started then..." she told herself, "sooner i find him, sooner I sleep..." She bent down, and then after storing her kinetic energy, she leaped forward, charging down the path of the foot prints.

The foot prints continued on for a long while, Aloura must have been asleep for at least a good few hours for him to have gotten this far ahead of him. I hope he didn't die... Aloura thought to herself, If he died, I would have to hide the body... And i wouldn't get paid... Hiding a body is a lot of effort if you don't get any money for it... She then sighed. Not because of the amount of effort she was quickly depleting, but because of the effort she would have to add to this mission if anything terrible happened to Greg Neut.

Aloura slammed her feet in the ground, causing herself to dig her heels into the dirt beneath her to stop her some form sliding out of control. As she stopped, she spun around, looking back at the tracks. "They stop..." She realized, walking up to the last set of tracks, and beginning to look around. "He must have gone up..." She told herself, looking up and hoping to see the man, Greg, above her. 

"I don't see him..." She spoke, then she heard it, the loud outburst of a scream. "Die foul beast!' A very masculine voice shouted. As she turned around, she saw the man, Greg, with a knife. Charging straight at her.

As the man charged towards her, Aloura stepped back, placing her hand on the tree next to her, and using her molding ability to rip out a wooden baton. As the man sliced down, she held up the baton. The knife didn't slice through it, it couldn't. The knife was surprisingly dull, and probably couldn't even cut Aloura if it got the chance. 

"Whats wrong with you..." She asked, spinning the baton around, causing him to loose control of the knife as it flew from his hands. 

As it hit the ground, a realization hit her. "You're hallucinating." A sigh lept from her lungs and into the air. "So i just need to snap you out of it." She told herself. "Or simply knock you out." As the man charged at her with a fist, she quickly ducked, and kicked his legs out from under him.

The man managed to land on his hands and spring back up instantly. Aloura didn't have time for this. As the man attempted to strike her again, she side swiped him. As he stumbled to the side, she used her baton and jammed it into his gut. Saliva and stomach acid spewed from his mouth as he coughed, then fell to the ground. 

She walked over to him, and poked him with the baton. He moaned, but didn't show any signs that he wanted to get up any time soon. He should be fine... she thought to herself, bending down and picking Greg up with both arms, holding him like a child as she began to walk back to the house.

As Aloura laid Greg on the bed, she put a glass of water next to him and cleaned the spit off his mouth with a rag. It didn't bother Aloura, nothing really bothered her. Would anything bother any other new born child? Maybe crapping their pants, but Aloura didn't have to worry about that. She was a demon, they didn't eat much, and she was born potty trained. 

She looked around, her eyes feeling saggy and her body feeling like a slug. "Chair..." She spoke, walking over to the chair she fell asleep in before. "Now we have to wait for your friends..." She told the sleeping target, pinching herself to stop from falling asleep.

The man did not wake up. It would appear that she either hit him really hard, or those hallucinations did a number on his brain. He was probably trying to recollect his thoughts, or mana. Aloura was always tired, so she knew how the boy felt. 

Shaking her head, stopping herself from falling asleep, she looked at the door. "They are coming..." She reminded herself, making sure she knew that she didn't have to stay here forever.   Just a little bit longer. she thought to herself, cracking her neck and then leaning her chair. At least it's quiet... She jinxed it, Greg began to snore, and someone else began to knock on the door.

As Aloura stood up, the door opened up. "I forgot we had a key," One of the group members said, walking into the room with a giant case in her arms. "thanks for watching after Greg for us," She smirked, hugging Aloura and then turning back towards Greg. 

"He didn't give you any trouble, did he?" she asked, her two friends walking into the kitchen to fetch some food. 

"No..." Aloura told the women, looking at the ground and awaiting for the women to walk over, which she did almost immediately. "Thanks for your help," she said, handing her the reward and walking her to the door. 

"Can i interest you in dinner?" she asked. 

"No."
